LOL. What an interesting way of looking at matchups against a junior middleweight and a welterweight. Let's give him a round of applause for ducking David Benavidez and giving these little guys a shot at history!

That's definitely fake newsm. Bivol wanted more $$ than he got in first fight and Canelo switched gears.

Canelo has a far denser resume but Bud has a far better win in Spence. Personally, I lean Bud. Canelo's clearly ducking Benavidez and while I was initially excited for the JermEll fight, it gets worse the longer you look at it

You're right... I've never seen Crawford make a complete ass of himself with amateurish rookie ineffective pressure throwing reckless haymakers at the body and missing at like a 90% clip as Canelo did versus both Mayweather and Lara.

But.... when have we ever seen Crawford fight anyone in the same stratosphere as Mayweather and Lara?

True... I guess the closest would be Spence and yeah, he isn't as slick as either or nearly as great as Mayweather at least (you could argue he's on par with Lara with his power balancing things out).

Not close to Lara or Trout. The only Canelo opponent he's comparable to stylistically is John Ryder, that is if John feasted primarily on Light Middleweight featherfists who offer zero resistance, and wasn't quite as tough, compact or was adept at fighting much larger opponents.

I'm not here to try and impress anybody. I was defending myself as you implied because I am an Anthony Mundine fan that my boxing knowledge must not be very good. I have trained and sparred at the Mundine gym in Redfern so I got a lot of respect for the guy. I think that comparing how Crawford would do against Canelo's opponents isn't really a good measuring stick as they are in completely different weight classes. I think that Crawford is more skilled and has a bigger will to win he is willing to die for the win. Canelo to me mentally quit against Floyd and Bivol once he knew he was being out boxed. I also think he fought scared in the first GGG fight when he knew he was outgunned. Crawford IMO has done it the hard way even for his first world title he went to Scotland to beat Ricky Burns. Canelo on the other hand has been handed a lot more things he was the air to the Mayweather PPV throne. Canelo has also been popped for PED's and I think that brings a lot of his career into question. I still think he is a great fighter and a hall of famer. I just think fighters like Bud Crawford are very rare.

Yeah, Bud going to the UK to take on world renown featherfist Ricky Burns, with his 11 KO's in 36 matches, right after he got his ass beat in a one sided drubbing, by a rudimentary journeyman in Ray Beltran, that was some Braveheart level ****. I've seen zero evidence that Crawford is willing to die in the ring, I mean when he built up an unassailable points lead on Postol, instead of going for the KO in his first PPV, he hauled ass for the last 6 rounds, terrified to be hit. Canelo on the other hand took on the P4P number 1 fighter at 23, fought an undefeated GGG and went up to 168 to fight WBSS winner Callum Smith and up to 175 to fight a full strength Bivol. The guy's a total puss.
