I think finally people are getting wise to crawford. still alot of hate though. I can imagine he gonna be real hated especially by mayweather people when he smashes canelo at 168, no catchweight. Mayweather a lil nervous aswell. He doesnt want canelo to fight crawford.
Bud (correctly IMHO) thinks Canelo is fading and also realized that he has the dimensions to compete with Canelo regardless of weight class. But if the fight is made soon, and if Canelo is up for it, his power and will to win will for sure drag Bud into deep waters and Bud is relatively unproven at that level.
I know it seems bonkers, thought it was crazy when this fight was first proposed but having broken down the stylistic match up, I genuinely think Bud has a chance. People said Usyk had no chance vs Joshua, too big, too powerful and that Usyk didn't have the power to deter Joshua, I was one of them. I should have gone with my head and not my gut when picking that fight and I won't make the same mistake again. Styles makes fights and Bud for me has all the tools to give Canelo trouble. Movement, counter punching, good defence etc.
So is Crawford going up 3 divisions with no tune up fight at 168. I thought the general consensus is that you need to acclimatise yourself at the higher weights before going after the best in that division. Just seems a bit of wishful thinking.
Canelo would ****ing stomp all over Bud. It'd be so one-sided it he'd be charged with GBH. The only people who think this is a genuinely good fight to be made are caught up in the height of Bud beating Spence. Canelo would crush the pair of them, on the same night, possibly at the same time.
