    He thought that he had what it took to beat Joe Louis. LaMotta did have a godlike chin.

    La Motta would have been better off jumping in front of a bus. Much faster end.

    Given natural WW Zivic (we can forgive LaMotta for losing to SRR whilst Ray was barely over the WW limit) and Laurent Dauthuille both beat a prime LaMotta on official scorecards, and some feel a past prime Holman Williams, Bert Lytell (SD) & Robert Villemain (SD) deserved the decisions against Jake, a fight against Joe Louis would not have gone well for him.

    I;ve never read that ,what I've seen is he told his Brother "look a the size of my hands," and his Brother said," so what?" Jake said ,"it means I'l never be big enough to fight Joe Louis".
