Im talking about Hearns, he was just 22 years old I think.
For example Ryan Garcia, Haney, Boots or Stevenson are all older than Hearns when he fought SRL.

 

I'd say it's Duran over Leonard but that's partially cos I love Roberto and Leonard was special

Hearns was already but than those guys are and certainly more dangerous.

 

Precisely. Especially considering Duran was smaller than Lenny.

 

He nailed Hearns who had a weak chin and became the aggressor. When his speed left him later in his career he was quite average.

 

SRL was a slight underdog, and it was a great come from behind win stopping Hearns in the 14th. But as a few have posted above, greatest win in history is a huge stretch. Sheesh Tommy was robbed in their 2nd fight with a draw

Greatest win in boxing history is impossible to answer. There have been many 100s of great fights the past century plus. A top 10 list is difficult to put together and many would have moderately to very different top 10s. Also, as can be seen in some answers, there would be recency bias in most lists.

 

But on the flip side Leonard hadn't fought in 3 years and was fighting at a weightclass he'd never fought at. Which for me makes it more impressive.

 

So he had more than speed then?
