That did not happen. Wlad won the title in 2006 and lost it by decision 19 fights later in 2015. His prime existed in that space.

Unlike Foreman, who tried and failed twice, Wlad actually staged a comeback that resulted in logging title defenses.

 

Foreman is working uphill here. Wlad's style is optimised to deal with come forward fighters that are technically inferior to him and that's Foreman alright. Foreman's wide clubbing punches are going to leave him susceptible to Wlad's faster and straighter 1-2 and not to mention his jab which will be a pestilence for younger Foreman. I fancy Klitschko by UD with a chance of an early Foreman win by KO if he throws caution to the wind and manages to get lucky with sustained early aggression.

I think that people are ignoring the fact that Wladimir was himself one of the hardest punching heavyweights in history with a considerable weight advantage over Foreman. That chin would get tested like never before.
