But it’s okay because it’s Frank Warren and not Eddie Hearn. A lot of posters here don’t keep consistent energy. I am still waiting to hear if there was drug testing for McCann vs Baluta. I remember people here complaining there was no VADA testing for Cordina vs Rakhimov. At least there was additional testing alongside UKAD - Warren didn’t pay for any other drug tests for a PPV main event in Joyce vs Parker!
All the promoters are as bad as each other. If Adam Azim or Dennis McCann failed a drugs test, I think that Ben Shalom and Frank Warren would act in a similar manner and do their best to avoid their fighter receiving a ban. That’s why I don’t agree with putting promoters on pedestals as their primary concern is making money over everything else. And to be fair to Hearn he did a lot of interviews during the time Benn failed a test and answered every question. Warren and Shalom wouldn’t do that. Warren doesn’t even allow people to ask if there is drug testing for his high-profile fights.
Zolani Tete has just been handed a backdated 4 year ban from UKAD that expires in 2026. Philip Bowes' current 4 year ban from UKAD is due to end in September next year but he appealed recently. Not sure if there is an outcome yet from the appeal? Then there is Amir Khan's 2 year UKAD ban.
I love Nigel Benn hard not too after watching his fights since I was a kid but I agree with Simon here. You could argue defending his son but my Dad would of battered me for finding a tab on me god knows what would of happened if I threw away something like benn has but I guess I grew up responsible for my actions
This content is protected Did Umar ask Frank Warren how many of his fights have had additional drug testing this year?
To rely on any of these YouTube outlets to ask any promoter a meaningful question is pointless, Drama. Nothing more than paid for propaganda machines who attract a lot of views. Frank has Umar, Eddie has Kugan and Charlie Parsnip. Whilst there's nobody with access who will cut through any of their b*llsh1t their videos are nothing more than a waste of your time.
Can’t believe Matchroom FC have now resorted to ‘but at least Matchroom pay for extra testing!!’ like Hearn is some kind of anti-steroid advocate The latest one is ‘I haven’t heard whether [insert promoter other than Matchroom] had additional testing since when has announcing how much drug testing you’ve had for a fight been a thing…. Oh wait it hasn’t, it’s just the only thing Matchroom FC have left to clutch onto since a few of their fighters have failed a test.
good old Eddie. Tried to get Benn in the ring after 2 failed tests but at least he answered a few questions off Koogz.
