Most one sided fight that ended with a come from behind KO

Yeah, there was nothing sudden about it. John Daley actually called it after only four rounds and after the 5th it was quite clear to most that "George isn't going to make it" to quote Frazier.

 

That one looked like it was moments from being stopped until lighting struck.

 

Arthur Mercante Jr. did a **** job too. He was just standing there frozen, letting Whitaker almost kill poor Hurtado.

 

Great shout. Unfortunate what happened after, but as Barry McGuigan said… “WHAT A PUNCH!”

Hmm...Some highlights that I've seen indicate that Taylor had Anaya on the floor earlier in the fight, and hurt him a couple of times in the earlier rounds. Anaya was ahead, proabably, but it doesn't seem like it was all one way traffic.

Castro-Jackson 1 was the first bout I could think of.

 

Jerry Quarry vs Lorenzo Zanon.

 

Jorge Castro is a treasure and at the least he had the physical attributes to be a modern Harry Greb. He just wasn’t good enough.

 

He virtually won near every minute.

 

I don’t think this fight was near as close as your interpretation even if you still thought Ali won.

 

I understood it to be a flash knockdown early in the fight and nothing more. But the beating dished out by Anaya and the swelling suffered by Taylor says it was a hammering. But I'd like to hear more on the subject if anyone has any more info on the fight

 

Its not that I thought Ali won. I know Ali won by 8th round knockout just like everyone else knows.
Thats why I only rescored it up to the 7th.

What I saw was the crowd and ref on Ali's side but as far as a fair assessment of what was actually taking place and according to Queensberry rules Ali was behind on the cards.

 

Sorry I miss-worded my post. Yes Ali was behind in the same way Marvin Hart had so much “success” with Jack Johnson on the cards. Ali won easily, Ali controlled all the action that’s being a ring general - George’s aggression wasn’t “effective aggression” as per the rules at all. Ali did all the damage how could you score it for George?
