Whys the post broken up into different sections, para something I think they're called? That type of things not wanted here
Holler is and always will be the wise man of the forum. Takes it all in then just cuts through the nonsense like a hot knife through butter. Legend
They have none, they only care about money. As soon as DAZN bin them off, I reckon they will get out of the game.
Yup, my favourite poster. Doesn't get involved with the relentless squabbles about which promotor is best , always posts good points and the occasional gem of a poem.
This content is protected Frank Warren said that Fury, Ngannou, Sheeraz and his opponent, Joyce and Zhang have all done VADA testing and that they are doing as much testing as other promoters. That's only 3 bouts. Umar asked Warren about Baluta being tested for McCann. He said he was only UKAD tested. Warren then shifts the conversation to Matchroom using Drug Free Sport, completely ignoring that Matchroom use VADA testing for all their big fights as additional testing, and then Drug Free Sport for other fights that aren't as big but still providing additional testing. If Matchroom start using Drug Free Sport for their big world title fights and Joshua etc instead of VADA, then there's a problem in my opinion. Do UKAD and VADA even test for the same substances?
He keeps saying drug free sport don't test for HGH. It takes less than 30 secs to look on there website and it clearly has HGH listed.
I was bored last night so had a read up about this. They both aim to follow WADA's banned list but I guess down to different timings of getting systems / tests in place if the list grows, they're never guaranteed to be synchronised. In the Saunders case they both tested for the nasal spray but had different rules on when it was permitted; VADA banned entirely and UKAD only "in competition". Safe to say they're not quite the same.
To be fair there will always be at least minimal differences between the anti-doping agencies. I’m surprised there wasn’t more testing though for McCann vs Baluta. It was one of Warren’s biggest fights - basically a European Title fight. But considering there was no additional testing for Parker vs Joyce I’m not surprised. It is expensive to be fair to pay for it.
For my sins my current day job is in medical tech, so I see some of the costs of putting on basic blood tests for things like minerals, blood count, cholesterol, etc. Some can be done from the same sample, some need an additional one, suddenly you need 3 or 4. Private companies lose money doing those tests for 50-60 quid a go with a 2-3 day turnaround, and that's without anything like the variety of testing or process involved, no storage of samples, anything like that, and it's self-served. Lord knows what home-visit randomised testing costs to run.
