Maybe, but Wilder has always been a joke even throughout the Olympics. Seems he can’t be trained or is unwilling.

You are blowing Wilders power way out of proportion. Wilder doesn't sleep everyone he fights. Who has he starfish exactly? About 3 people since stepping up to top 30 competition. That isn't exactly a record. Crawford, Inoue, Beterbiev, and Tank have all done that.

I’m definitely not blowing it out of proportion. His power is that ridiculous, and being top 30 has little to do with your chin resistance.

people get those two conflated a lot, ranking and your chin resistance. You can be a lower level boxer with a solid chin, there are a myriad of example so opponent ranking should not take away from a knockout imo.

    Moving on….

Who has beterbiev starfished or KOd unconscious? Inoue?? Who have they put to sleep in the same manner? Their opponents have mostly taken a knee and been TKOd or they have been waved off while still standing up flapping around dazed.

It’s like comparing Whytes KO on Chisora versus Hayes TKO. They are not equal!!!!

Wilder has KOd numerous guys that have been asleep horizontal. As in they we’re not moving and not getting up after falling.
    - these guys were significantly bigger.
    - These KOs typically happen in the first three rounds.

Fury (not KOd and controversial but he was out for the full count)

I’ve likely missed a few as well. So now show me clips where the other p4ps have done the same, and how many times..?

you are wrong, his power is head and shoulders above the rest, because all his other “standard” knockouts are on par with Tanks, Inoues, Beterbievs best.

There is also a difference of when an opponent goes does and is unconcious versus when he goes down because he is exhausted and dazed. Case in question, when Fury KOd wilder, it was mostly that wilder was dazed and too exhausted to continue. But in the Fury being knocked down clip the guy was out and he even confessed himself he was out.

Wilder definitely has great power but I hesitate to say he has ATG power since its only been effective versus journeymen and fringe contenders. He did have a vicious KD in 1st Fury fight but only flash KDs after that and, let us not forget, Fury is chinny after all. . .Ortiz was a decent HW so those 2 KOs are good but...after that? Slim pickings of remarkable power.

Truth be told though no power puncher retains effectiveness versus top opponents. While I had GGG beating Canelo in fight 1 (and slim win or draw in fight 2) his power was just not remarkable especially not when compared to his KOs of Stevens, Geale, Proksa, Rosado, etc. But GGG didnt have that power against Jacobs either nor Dervenchenko. Yes, he scored flash KDs that had little impact on the fights themselves but the force behind his mythical power was just not there.

Power punchers are almost only effective versus journeymen, part-time fighters, and fringe contenders. Once they step up to elite competition it fades because those guys dont block punches w their faces.

2 opponents ranked in the top 10 and one of them over the age of 40 let that sink in.

If Wilder stops the likes of Ruiz, Joyce, Usyk, i'll be impressed.

I still think Wilder is a good puncher but i've not seen enough evidence of it vs top level opposition, people bring up the Fury fights but fighters like Cunningham and Pajkic who only has 5 stoppages dropped and rocked Fury badly.

So you don’t think Wilder could
KO todays top 10 or even AJ in the same manner?

Who do you consider ATG power in HW above Wilder because even guys like Mike Tyson had a lot of power and speed but wasnt knocking guys out in the same way Wilder was. It was again opponents being dazed and waved off or taking a knee or hitting the canvas and getting up shortly after but rarely starfished or KOd on the ropes or convulsing

Tyson during his reign beat 8 fighters ranked in the top 10, and stopped two ATGs in Michael Spinks, Larry Holmes, who had over 100 fights between and were only stopped once in their entire career by Tyson.

Compare that to Wilders resume with a grand total of 2 opponents hes beat in the top 10.

Do I believe Wilder could stop Joshua ? Probably yes but let's see evidence of it.

I believe Wilder could viciously KO most of the top 10 and I would like to think most would agree. He didn’t get that opportunity and I dont know ultimately what the metric is for deciding p4p punchers whether its how many top 10 you have KOd or your ability to KO a boxer.

I just think Wilder carries the level of KO power unseen by many ATG KO artists. He is up there as among the best if not the best. I’m looking through Beterbievs KOs and Inoues and I dont see the same devastating KO power but I still think they hit very hard and belong in the current list.
