Robert Helenius fails Drugs Test

    Seems like all these guys are trying all that they can to beat Joshua without any success. Again great from Matchroom to provide such extensive drug testing to catch another fighter. Hopefully a ban follows.

    But weren’t we told by the British Forum that if a fighter failed a drugs test taken before the fight for Joshua, Hearn would never let them get in the ring with him? This again shows like with the Baumgardner failed test that there is a delay between taking the test and receiving the results.

    Again shout-out to Matchroom for having VADA testing in place. There’s a reason why other promoters don’t use VADA testing and PBC fighters only fight once per year!

    Wonder if he signed his deal, decided it was enough to retire on and thought "nothing to lose"...

    Credit to Matchroom for the additional tests and nice to see them deferring to authorities rather than commenting. They're learning.

    Just a shame they are only open and transparent when the B side pops

    They defo knew about this result prior to the fight

    Drug tests don't matter when enough money is involved

    If you believe a fighter can be tested 24 hrs before the fight and the result then be known before the fight takes place then I also have a bridge to sell you.

    Yet another Matchroom card with another PED headline.

    With the brand name regularly associated with PEDs, surely they take a stand and stop promoting all drug cheats.

    Strong Rumours coming out of the Mascalls Lane area was that Robert Helenius took a viagra tablet followed by a sleeping pill.

    I’d be very interested to know if this really came out after the fight had happened. Surely the test is done days before with a result???
