The shot was on the belt line NOT above his belly button. Usyk wears his shorts lower than most heavyweights I've seen especially when you compare them to dubious. As the English commentators stated at the end, the ref usually shows the fighters before the fight what he considers low. The question should be what is considered low? In my opinion it should be anything below the waist which would make the punch a low blow. Having said all that Frank has latched onto a bull **** loop hole to force a rematch but I think if dubois game plan was to punch to the body he applied it very sloppily as he didn't commit to it. He's also revealing himself to have rather sensitive whiskers

Fighters frequently try to milk low blows. That doesn't mean they couldn't continue if the punch wasn't ruled low and they had to get up by 10 seconds. John Ruiz did that all the time.

Get Frank Warren out of there or I'm buying a ticket to Wrocław and tossing a bottle of **** at him. Yes, of my own making.

It would have been a shame if they stopped it for that punch. Usyk is not a fighter who cheats to win. He is a stand-up guy who fights clean and does not foul.

I once thought of it as being a super close fight, but legit, I think Usyk stands a very good chance of TKOing him now. He's good at getting out of being tied up and Fury's shots are only hard when he's able to sit down on them, which worked for Wilder, Whyte and Chisora but will not work for a man not standing in front of you with his head on the line all night.

I kind of agree, however if he spots a slightly slower Usyk with body shot vulnerability then sure as anything he will take that risk however slight.
Fury is merely playing the same game as Floyd, one of opportunity and timing.

Not sure who the other fella on ESPN was with Bradley, but he made a sensible point that Bradley seemed incapable of comprehending. In the absence of clear pre-fight instruction, it's the call of the referee as to what constitutes a low blow. It doesn't matter what Harry Haddock thinks. It was tight enough for any governing body worth their salt to let the ref's decision stand and tell Turbot Face to get lost.

To be fair, his thumb does look like it hits pretty much in the middle of the belt...the actual fist though...not so much. That was a low blow, full stop!

Nonsense. I've been saying for years, even back during his CW reign, that he's slowing down gradually and that he used to be sharper with mongoose reflexes, great head movement and he was the fastest draw out there with that left hand of his. His combos were faster and more accurate too.

These are SHWs and he clearly looks so much sharper and quicker here

if it were truly a low blow
He would have been pawing at his nuts writhing in pain, as opposed to crawling on his hands & knees gasping for air
He had the wind knocked out of him as a result of what is typically called a legal shot right on the belt line.

i am a super Usyk fan
But he caught a break on that lucky / unlucky punch by Dubois.

Oh I forgot, did I imagine seeing it or when Jake Paul was in the ring ESPN put the info box that he was 7-0 and a heavyweight boxer?

LOL what a clown show ESPN has become

Oh well, that was fun while it lasted.

Too bad they only fight once a year.

I guess we'll see Usyk again sometime in 2024.
