He was a 7/1 underdog expected to lose but out in a decent enough effort and very nearly snatched the win in a controversial moment. He got closer to winning than Joshua did over 2 fights
how on earth did he fight better than Joshua? he threw less, lasted fewer rounds, barely won a round, and his best shot was a low blow amazing how he still gets treated with kid gloves
A different referee could have called it a legit blow and then you've got a new unified champion. Joshua was never centimetres from victory always miles behind
Another referee could have but it would be the wrong decision, like another referee would have waved off the first wilder v fury fight straight away. There is nothing commendable about DDD potentially “winning” through foul play. The fact is he lost practically every round and was put down before saying he wanted no more and quitting on his knee.
Was it foul play? Not exactly clear-cut is it? Annoying how bias always tend cloud people's opinions, not that I'm accusing you.
It was a low blow and Dubois quit. No robbery occurred and Dubois showed his main limitation is his mental game.
Yes it.was a low blow. The low blow mark is nothing to do with the belt on the shorts. In the rules the belt line is an imaginary line that goes from the top of the hips. No part of the glove can land below this imaginary line. The blow of the glove last night was landed half above the line and half below, that makes it a low blow. Even if it had of been 90% of the glove above and 10% below, that's still a low blow.
100%. It's a shame. If Dubois had the heart to dig deep when the going gets tough he would be a great fighter. Instead he always looks for a way out when he is hurt or gets gassed.
Tyson fury can drink 10pints before the fight and have one arm behind his back and still jab AJ's nut in and make him quit
And that would have been a mistake as it was a low blow. I can call a puma a chicken, it's still a puma. It didn't count.
