That pic is one frame after it had begun grazing upwards. It was clearly low. Learn the rules, doesn't have to be a direct hit on the sack. Pelvic area. Even if it was ruled a KD Usyk would have gathered himself & beat the count. Dubois got schooled. Cope.

There's no way anyone can look at that screenshot I just posted and say that's low.

I get how you can look at the other screenshot from the reverse angle and argue it's low. Because from that vantage point you can see part of the glove appearing to be up against the bottom part of the belt-line. But that's misleading because it's not actually connecting there. It's not impacting where you're lining up the outer part of the glove with the belt-line. The outer curved part of the glove does not connect, it's the inner / top part that connects which can only be seen from the angle I posted above, which shows the impact part of the glove compressing and decompressing into the upper part of the belt-line, there's no way you can look at that and argue it's low.

One angle shows the impact point and the other doesn't.

 

It would be nonsense to call usyk a bum since he without any doubts has a very good technigue .

But he is a hard and smart cheater to stay in hw division.

He has nor punching power neither he is able to take a serious body shot .

The night was more an ukrainian propaganda show than a sporting event . If dubois was able to touch ans hurt him you can be sure wilder would also be able - with another result.

He needed a sure victory for the propaganda show and dubois was the least dangerous option available .

He will ukrainian style duck and talk away dangerous fights even when his hw record stays close to nothing and retire "unbeaten" before having to face wilder or fury.

He is not the sportsman and superhero many believed.

Pabon ruled a similar shot low in Joshua-Usyk 2.

 

A lot of refs are very average, permissive of a certain degree of rule breaking as long as it's vaguely plausible.

Just because top class officiating is rare doesn't change that the ref was spot on here - that's clearly low, it's a correct call and one that deserves credit.

Any clean body shot after this and Usyk was playing referee himself, calliing it low blows and warning to keep it up. Joke fight.

 

Usyk did NOT react like someone who had just been ‘low-blowed’. He would’ve immediately been holding his crotch area otherwise. He reacted like someone who had just been winded by a body punch. Watch the video, no way for you to refute it. Look at videos how fighters react when they’ve actually been low blowed and compare it with Usyk.

It's extermely sad that Usyk pretended like his balls were hit the way he did, thats a very horrible side of Usyk to see, he was looking to get Dubois DQ.
