Considering we’ve never seen Foreman fight a top shelf southpaw - his troubles with Peralta, Young and Ali? the reverse is much more likely.

 

Agreed when it comes to the height. Although it stretches across the eras. Do you think Terrell who was listed at 6ft6 I believe? Was really that big? Look at him next to Ali who was 6ft2ish. Marvin Hagler in stare offs with other 5ft8ers looked noticeably smaller - I believe it was a British fighter in a stare down I noticed this. I believe Ali’s height because I’ve spoken with people who have both sparred and met the man who have integrity and they say he was 6ft2-3 - posters here who have also said similarly.

 

Yeah, I think Terrell was listed taller than he really was.. Ali too but Ali was 6'2 1/2 in his passport so there's no much diference. Max Baer was listed at 6'2 1/2, and I think that's pretty accurate. I find Joe Louis's era 'tales of the tape' to be pretty accurate, carnera I think was listed 6'4 1/2 vs sharkey. I would also add Jared Anderson as another boxer who claim to be 6'4 but look at least 2 inches shorter. I mean compared to a legit 6'5 like charles martin no way jared anderson is even 6'3

I actually agree that Usyk would be a tough fight for Foreman and could even beat him, but Usyk seems to be pretty weak to the body and Foreman has murderous body shots.

 

He is definitely at least 6'3 I met him multiple times at the gym he trained at in Toledo. I'm 6'1 and he had a distinct height advantage over me.

Shots ON the belt line are legal. Maybe that’s how he takes him out? 70s Foreman had a savvy group behind him and he wasn’t above bending the rules to breaking point. I personally think GF wins.

 

I have trust issues, is something I like to say shortly before I get blatantly abusive. I find it makes it much easier-to prime a person for it. Mostly friends, spouses, pets. And only verbally. I'm a bad breed, but not the worst sort.

 

I'd get a Jimmy book inna heartbeat but he went to a draw w Shavers. Albeit getting stopped almost 2 yrs prior but he was VERY early in his career like 7-3. I would love to see both fights to see Youngs progression but his shining moment is Lyle 2 outside of Foreman.

 

Don’t know if he would’ve been “dwarfed,” but I can only imagine how folks in fora like this would have described his skills and technique.
