This post is nothing but an appeal to authority. I don't know you personally, as I've just joined, but I hope you have never complained about any of the blatant corruption and abstraction the governing bodies get up to in order to maximise their seemingly unregulated gravy train. If a governing body issues a statement that suits one's narrative (often the status quo) then that's fine, but should they not...
So one shouldn’t think that a governing organisation actually does the right thing in a particular instance because that’s an enabler attitude for everything all governing bodies did wrong in the past and may or may not be doing wrong in the future. Got it, thanks.
Its not about dubois , everybody knew its a pure bum . Its about usyk gasping for air in the ukrainian propaganda show . Usyk struggles against such a bum ???
Struggled? Usyk dominated the fight and knocked him out. The only success Dubois had was with an illegal low blow. Suck it, your guy lost.

More from WBA: The fight had a dramatic moment when Dubois landed a low blow that sent Usyk to the canvas. The area in which it hit created debate on the legality of the blow but the referee ruled the blow to the low area and gave Usyk the necessary recovery time to continue fighting. After receiving the illegal blow, the Ukrainian changed his attitude and started to be a little more aggressive to get two knockdowns in the fight and score the win in the ninth round. The victory was the 21st in Usyk’s professional career, who has 14 knockouts. Dubois, meanwhile, now has 19 wins, 2 losses and 18 knockouts.
Nah, if you look at the location of the punch, mentally rotate that position to the side of Usyk's body, you can plainly see it was a low blow. Meaning if a that shot landed at the same height but on the side, it would be an illegal shot to the hip. Look at the top of your hip and you know why the rule state anything below the naval is illegal. Guys would be targeting the hip bone.
Usyk's belly button was positioned right at the very top of his waistband and you can clearly see this in the seconds before the punch lands by the distance between the top of his waistband and his pectoral muscles and you can even actually see his belly button and exactly where it is in relation to his waistband (right at the freaking top) numerous times from the start of the round to that point too. Usyk's belly button at the start of round 5 https://ibb.co/S3dfQCP A few seconds before the low blow. Belly button clearly right at the top of his waistband https://ibb.co/5hc2ghJ https://ibb.co/9tynMXz But if you want to believe it wasn't when it unquestionably was and that it was halfway down his waistband which would be a lie the vast majority of the glove still landed below that area and the knuckles are at the bottom of the glove and a large portion of it landed below the waistband so therefore it's still below the naval and therefore low But if you want to really believe that his naval was right at the bottom of his waistband which is just comical a large enough portion of the glove still landed below the bottom of the waistband for it to be deemed low and it was an absolutely massive shot delivered by a much bigger savage punching man with full extension on it so even if only a percentage of it strayed low below the bottom of his waistband and his naval was right at the bottom of the waistband which it wasn't (and if it was the top of the waistband would've been right up by his tits) it still would've hurt like hell
I get the impression the WBA and certain people are just trying to protect the integrity of the sport by claiming it was a low blow and there's nothing more to it. They're actually doing the sport a disservice by treating people like morons and telling them to go against logic and what they're eyes are telling them.
Just not a statement though is it? It’s an article written by a journo to cover the fight for the WBA website. Not that an actual statement will be any different.
