How much do you think his inconsistency is due to his mindset and how much do you think luck factored into his high points? For example Loma and Taylor not being at their best when they fought him.

Nah excuses man. Loma lost that fight if he wasn't at his best that's on him, and credit for Teo for forcing him to look that way.

If there is one criticism on Loma though his game plan was ****. Absolutely atrocious. He waited until the second half of the fight to switch on and by then the fight was almost over. Absolute lunacy for someone at the highest of levels.

    He outsmarted himself.

Teo's 50 percent genius 50 percent fruit cake but he's good value.

Kambosos fought out of this world and the fight of his life vs Teo. I predicted he would win. But since then, he's showed us that his career is finished. Hughes beat him fair and square last fight. Absolute travesty.

Its crazy but he is the opposite of Loma in good and bad. He can go 12 rounds at the same pace but is a clown and can get hit a lot. Loma takes boxing seriously and has great defence but just isn’t made for 12 rounds. I don’t think Teo is over rated, he has a lot of heart but as much as he gets hit I doubt it will be a long career.

I think it's more down to him having a stylistic flaw. His two best wins were against fighters that came to him and allowed him to sit back and play the role of counter puncher. Kambosos and Martin didn't do that and forced him to lead and press and so he struggled.

Chris Eubank had a similar stylistic flaw, beat Benn and Wharton in impressive performances but Close and Malinga gave him fits because they made him lead.

He might be a bit inconsistent as a fighter, but the stylistic issues that @Brighton bomber (and I believe I remember hearing @CST80 saying much the same thing) explained in this thread have a big part to play in this apparent inconsistency.

Two non controversial wins over p4p elites (one a future HOF'er), but sandwiched a loss to a future journeymen in between those wins. That is an epic level of inconsistency IMO

Losing to Kambosos is a huge black mark imo. Kambosos is a C+ fighter. They should rematch. Really curious to see if it was a fluke. I think it was.

While Loma is a notoriously slow starter (something he's rectified to a point in more recent fights), I don't believe his struggles in the first half of the Lopez fight can be attributed to an ill-advised game plan.

Rather I think Lopez's combination of size, power, and speed handcuffed Loma's offense early on and forced him into a much longer period of adjustment than he's normally accustomed.

I don’t think it was a fluke. Kambosos just fought his best fight and there wasn’t as much tape out on him against top opponents. I could see Teo winning the rematch but I don’t it’s fair to discredit Kambosos if he does win.

Not inconsistent. He obviously has a weakness against mover’s. Guys that come to him aren’t as much of an issue.

If he gets stomped then you can say it was a fluke.

He's not inconsistent, unless you disregard his assertion that he was severely compromised. He's a very good fighter and the loss, when it's all said and done, might have done him some good. We have too many guys protecting '0's right now instead of making the fights that people want to see.

He took a chance against Taylor and clowned the **** out of him, when most people didn't give him a chance. He deserves respect for that, not another hate thread with excuses for guys that he easily beat.

Hell yeah he’s inconsistent. He LOST to Martin and was gifted a decision. Made up for it by beating Taylor soundly but he’s a bit of a headcase and is not always at his best. Went life and death with Nakatani. Lost to C level fighter Kambosos. That was embarrassing.

I hope he has the rocky **** behind him but until he does, he’s got a reputation of not always being at his best in every fight.
