    Or who's careers didn't amount to what people thought they would become?

    Chavez Jnr was the biggest blow doll up doll in history. Overhyped, most managed Mexican that was put in cotton wool and preserved like the demolition man. He got exposed like a fool at the poker table who had dollar signs on his forehead.

    Francisco Bojado

    Outside the ring
    Bojado made an appearance on the HBO short series De La Hoya/Mayweather 24/7 as a sparring partner for Oscar De La Hoya.

    Bojado was arrested in 2011 after allegedly failing to stop at US Border security, which resulted in shots being fired at him by police.

    In 2013 Bojado got back into the ring and started training.

    LOL! Well I didn't know he attempted to evade border security and had shots fired at him. Good on him!

    21-3 record. I thought he'd do a lot better as a few people told me of his talent. 21-3 isn't a bad record by any means. He's actually a gentlemen.

    Who's Edwin Valero? did he train with Roach at all? Is he the Mexican that is drug addicted?

    Allegations of assault[edit]
    It was reported on 27 September 2009, that Edwin Valero had been arrested on assault charges. A man alleged that the boxer attacked his mother and sister over a feud.[13] Valero denied the allegations and considered them an attempt to harm his reputation. His mother came forward to tell the media that no foul play was involved.

    On 25 March 2010, Valero was again accused of assault, this time by his wife, who was sent to hospital for bruises and a damaged lung.[14] Valero denied any wrongdoing, stating his wife stumbled from a stairway, but investigators doubted him.[15] His wife later told authorities that her injuries were caused by an accident on some stairs, despite the fact that she had been treated for similar injuries twice before at the hospital.[16] Because of the vicious personality he showed at the hospital where his wife was treated, Valero was sent for six months of psychiatric rehabilitation.[17]

    Death[edit]
    On 18 April 2010, Valero was arrested after police found the body of his 24-year-old wife, Jennifer Carolina Viera de Valero, in a hotel in the city of Valencia, Carabobo.[18][19] She had been stabbed three times.[20][21] Valero was considered a suspect and was taken to jail.[22] Valero allegedly admitted to hotel security and police that he had murdered his wife.[23]

    The day after being taken to jail, Valero was found hanging in his jail cell by his pants. He was pronounced legally dead at 1:30 am

    Jr was a strawberry and definitely proved himself as such and might be the ATG of this category. Didn't know that about Bojado !! :lol: Holy ****. Yup he was a disappointment. Gamboa was a bigger one and Tank is following in his footsteps to surpass them both. Tank is right next to greatness but people are in his ear, imo.

    Sure I'm missing some people. Good thread.

    Adrien Broner had the boxing world in his hands and dropped the ball chasing Mayweather and copying his style that did not fit him.

    Andre Berto who had the boxing world in his hands and dropped the ball chasing Mayweather and copying his style that did not fit him.

    Adonis Stevenson who had the greatest fight run in boxing history in 2013, went on to sign with Haymon and become such a bum that a Soviet crippled him because he got too soft fighting nobodies.

    Sergey Kovalev who was the best of the Eastern European crop but just couldn't cross over to the public like a certain bum named Golovkin. Had the toughest competition coming up the ranks and beat every champion for his title like a beast went on to let vodka ultimately defeat him. Which after the Usyk vs Dubois fight proves that the Former Soviet Union fighters have iron chins and glass bodies because Kovalev, Lomachenko, and Usyk are soft in the belly.

    Jose Luis Lopez comes to mind for me. If he had the desire to win and be great, he would have surpassed JCC Sr., IMO. He had the power, speed, chin, and balls (No homo) to give all the top welterweights (Trinidad, DLH, Forrest, Mayorga, Mosley, etc.) a run for their money. I don't think I ever saw him in tip top shape, and he barely did enough to win. SMH, but it's a tough sport. It's even tougher if you are doing it just because.

    Dominic Guinn. He might have been a smallish HW but that's when the super heavyweights were starting to emerge. He had skills, power, and speed. To me, it appeared he lacked focus and desire. I think he could have made some noise if he had more of a killer instinct.

    As someone mentioned earlier, Francisco Bojado had it all. However, I believe they spoiled him and he got lazy FAST. I think that more than anything led to his downfall.

    Mikey Garcia. Had all the tools but I don't think his heart was ever into boxing 100%.

    Michael Grant. He had the size, athleticism, and decent power but he lacked the skills and the killer instinct.

    Ike Ibeabuchi. I think everyone knows that story.

    Tank has already lost a lot of his prime years. I really don't understand why nobody is pushing him to better competition.

    Kirkland Laing - At his best able to beat Duran but lack of professionalism and his addictions to alcohol and drugs ruined him and he never really reached his potential.
