Never got to me before but he’s just insufferable isn’t he? Said he never celebrated when Haye was injured and beat a “fully fit” version in the 2nd fight. Also said Team Smith would make no excuses when all they’ve done is cry since the fight, including embarrassing themselves at the post presser. No word from Tony on that one though.

him backing his "mates" never bothered you despite them being on the gear and his stance on that

What’s this about? I don’t tend to listen to him much but he was all over my Twitter this morning as he was going at it with O’Hara Davies.

Insufferable is the perfect word for him. Nothing he says can be taken at face value - one of the most insincere guys you'll find in boxing.

It takes a LOT for me not to back a British fighter, but he managed it towards the end of his career.

This is from someone who paid good money to go see him against Chilemba.

He has dined out on beating a Haye ( that was winning comfortably) whose ankle went big time. It was clear as day Haye was shot to pieces second fight. Im sure I’ve seen him state he would have beaten a prime version of Haye. Yeah course you would have Tony

Some people become good fighters because their personality makes it necessary.

Bellew has always come across as having a chip on his shoulder, even in retirement. Did anyone on here see the IFL interview with ‘Koogs’ where he was being interviewed on his way to the arena ( last AJ fight) and he was for no reason whatsoever being an arse and coming across as very agitated. You could tell Koogs was thinking ‘what the **** is wrong with you’
He is also possibly the worst sports commentator I’ve heard, not through lack of knowledge but his blatant biased towards his ‘mates’
It is very unprofessional from the powers that be to have him commentate on these fights. Have him as a pundit but keep him off the comms.

He was good in Creed. Although when playing the character of an arrogant bellend he didn't have to do any acting.

He's always been unlikeable. Has too much passion in his interviews, needs to tone it down abit and chill out.

    Fair point.
I guess it’s more for the comedy value.
