Why the hell are you commenting then! The whole point of this thread, is how poor he looked yesterday proving he's not who they are hyping him as. It's obvious you are a Team Azim fanboy. And you keep going on about age, but that doesn't really matter, it just usually means when they turn pro that early they usually retire earlier like at about 30.
It shows he doesn't have much power with how he didn't go through Fanian Look at how for example Lewis Ritson went through everyone easily in his early days, then got found out at European level. at a higher level if he ever gets there, Azim will be going the distance most of the time.
Not a fanboy of him at all. I saw extensive highlights of the fight just not the full-tape. I said Dalton Smith beats Azim so how does that make me a fanboy?
He’s tricky to match though. Blows away low level domestic fighters with his speed alone. Agree he needs taking slowly though. He’s a talent for sure but tricky to match.
Another Team Azim guy , your entire post history is about Azim lol I'm sure it said on boxrec yesterday he was 200 and something , maybe I got that wrong and mixed up. I don't rate Dalton Smith much either, but I reckon Kaisee Benjamin would beat Fanian, and Sam Maxwell would have a good chance Many Ukrainian boxers are inactive because of the war, so not listed there any more. And also despite Ukrainians being brilliant at boxing, they don't have many pro boxers. Azim had loads of youth and junior fights though, apparently his pushy Dad had him on the punchbag aged 5. So no excuses. If you quoted all the cringe things Ben Shalom and others have been saying about Azim ' future of boxing' ''he's special'' and things like that, then watched last nights fight... you'd think it was a comedy
I don't get dads pushing little kids into boxing aggressively lol. Football is better exercise, and they won't really learn how to fight properly until they're around 10. An exception is if someone notices the kid's got natural brock dem up power
Charl Charlton is a lightweight that's a division below, who at a push maybe is English level. Azim has fought 1 opponent as a senior in his entire life that is a proper superlightweight. They also brought in fanyan who is known to be a decent technical boxer who has good basic skills but isn't really a puncher, that was their safety net. Had they put Azim in with a true SLW who can bang a bit he'd of been in trouble or had Fanyan been able to punch just a bit more he'd of been in trouble hence the single shots from Azim last night. You never saw Azim commit himself to the right hand counter Shane was talking about early on because he was fighting safe, why? Because he hasn't got the experience of fighting true SLW, he's fought as a junior and 90%of his opponents have been superfeathers and Lightweights. Now don't get me wrong Azim can achieve a lot but this lack of fighting men his own true size will be his undoing. Just slow down with the matching he's 9 fights in ffs
Did you see the size difference between him and Charlton?? Fight should never have even happened in hindsight
Azim looked clueless in there yesterday, The first bit of working out he had to do in his career so far and he didn't know what to do. He's all speed and not a lot of substance.
Yes wel m Match him with super light weights then instead of superfeathers and lightweights. With no senior amateur experience and literally only fighting one true super lightweight in his entire life (fanyan) it will come back and bite him on the ass at some point.
By no means an azim fanboy but that’s something else. Wish I could win more or less every round against people I couldn’t work out ha. If by work out you mean blast the guy out…ok…
That’s what I said in my previous post. Charlton did fight Marku at 147 and knocked him down though. I also was responding to whether Azim could beat Petitjean which I think he could.
You did get it wrong. Big difference between 200 and 70 lol. Let's see how Faniian does against future opponents.
Tbf Adam is a 135er himself. The only reason he's fighting at 140 is because Shane said all the best fighters will be moving up soon from lightweight and Adam's pretty young so he could still grow. Maybe Adam should move down to lightweight? I agree that they shouldn't fast track him and slow things down a bit.
