I thought I'd keep the GGG theme going. I've always been a huge fan of his but I hated his post fight interviews. His english never seemed to improve much and he never answered a direct question. Just the usual " this is boxing", "mexican style", "he's good boy" spiel.
    Thoughts?

I gotta say, he squeezed more mileage out of the "aw, shucks, ma'am" good boy schtick than anybody I can think of. I think he's not nearly so nice as the impression we have of him. I get the feeling he likes beating heads in.

GGG was just a giant controversy. Beat the heads in of contenders but didnt look all that against Canelo, Jacobs, and Dervenchenko. Even with GGG winning 1st fight (and possibly edging the rematch although a draw seemed fair to me), GGG got favorable judging for Jacobs and Dervenchenko and neither of those guys were world beaters.

Then there was the whole Andre Ward thing where GGG would fight certain guys at 168 (Froch, JCC Jr) but not Ward.

Yeah, GGG had a good boyish face matched w boyish innocence but as a mean SOB in the ring. Definitely good salesmanship. Found him annoying as a fan though from coming to US so late (28 years) to not making sacrifices/compromises so that Canelo and Cotto fights couldve happened sooner. GGG also was unlucky w Pirog and Sergio...

Vast majority of post fight interviews are cringe. Most fighters do not possess the language capability and/or intelligence to eloquently field questions.

Ward refused to fight GGG at 168. It's on record. He could have had the fight but didn't want it.

I know that on HBO fights Max Kellerman would ask Golovkin and Pacquiao post-fight questions which were a bit esoteric and quite a bit beyond their English speaking capabilities. It made the fighters look a bit ridiculous. It always drove me a little bit crazy.

That's clearly in the running for best post fight interview of all time. The only other one I can think of that is close is "I broke my back."
