A very good reply my friend and I agree with a lot of what you say. Naz with his extremely unorthodox style was always going to be undone by a fighter with an extremely sound orthodox style and a cast iron chin. In my opinion I think he would have taken a loss that night regardless of the pre-fight training and weight drain.

A fighter can only fight those available to him genius If Barrera was available to Inoue today, he would fight him & if he lost he would rematch him not quit the 1st time he lost & people found out that there wasn't a whole lot of substance behind all that showmanship At the end of the day what matters are results, not what could/might have been if "so & so was more disciplined" blah blah blah. It is up to the fighter to be disciplined both in & out of the ring (whether it is women, alcohol/drugs, not pigging out & ballooning up in weight, driving like a moron like Errol Spence etc) in every aspect of his life which people like Inoue & Bud are. That's why when they retire we won't be making threads such as "oh he was so unorthodox, if only he took training more seriously" as cope

No discipline is right. Hamed eschewed road work his entire career, preferring to spar instead. He was always lazy when it came to roadwork (and learning how to actually box). But somehow he only was not fit for the Barrera fight. Just one of many excuses for him by his supporters.
