He's moving up 2 weight classes to fight the Undisputed SMW Champion, the greatest and most proven fighter of this generation in Canelo. That's a far bigger risk and a far better example of daring to be great than fighting Bud Crawford.

 

He is fighting Canelo for his biggest payday. Don't make it sound like its some brave bravado. He is also going to get his ass kicked by Canelo but there will be a nice wad of cash to help him heal.

Now on to this tweet, If a fighter two weight class below you is calling you out , you call that bluff. Saying "leave us (me) alone" doesn't sound like someone with confidence of beating a smaller fighter.

 

Also, I doubt charlo would be taking this fight if canelo wasn't showing considerable slippage
