Canelo would have never ever fought him anyway. He is not stupid.

Yes but he didn’t do it doesn’t count.

He said he could beat Joshua too but he didn’t, so that doesn’t count either.

Yeah especially the nut shots, elbows, headbutts, hugging (stinking up the arena), corrupt refs, hometown judges

I think he would reign supreme now in Rio Heroes in bare knuckle MMA with those 1st 2 of the 3 skills I listed (I think even they don't allow Ward's specialization & supreme skill of nutshots). He should go down to Brazil & pursue it now

I think he's rewriting history. I definitely remember him being interviewed with his backpack on and not showing interest in coming back for Canelo or anyone. He had other things to do or whatever, like get his leg fondled by Max Kellerman during the commentary. If he really wanted it he would call Canelo out. At that time Canelo wasn't as big either, so Ward had a huge size advantage and does anyway, naturally.

Ward was scared of losing his '0', let's be real. And he would have lost it to Canelo, just because Canelo's crooked judges get better hotel suites than Ward's. Ward couldn't KO Canelo, so he'd probably lose.

I hate Andre ward..I vaguely remember someone telling me he was like a blend of bhop and roy jones.....he was more like a slick Billy goat....his style was awful,he talked so much **** about who he would fight and didn't, that **** nickname (get over yourself) and there is no way he beat kovalev in that first fight...none..it bugs me that he's undefeated and retired when he could a had scraps with gvodzyk ,beterbiev and bivol and he was still young enough to do it.

However...he would've wiped his ass with canelo

I dont think ward will be jealous and a hater like mayweather will be when crawford smashes canelo at his own weight no catchweight.

Doubt he could make 168 though. It made sense to come out of retirement after Canelo picked up the strap from Kovalev at 175 because 1) he coulda challenged for that title 2) Canelo is far more difficult to beat at 168 than 175 and Ward would have stood a much better chance of outboxing Canelo at 175 than at 168, a weight that Ward surely couldn't make anymore.

LOL he made it seem like if Canelo woulda uttered his name when asked about who he wanted next he would have accepted the fight right there on the spot lmao. While I would have loved to see the fight and think maybe Ward may have genuinely considered it, I find it hard to believe that he was that close to coming back.
