I agree with you. Tyson to me is a good example of how one deveops in different types of situations and environments. Most people would have picked him to be back in jail but from an angry aggressive young person, he has become a well loved old fogie. :)
Yes, he's not intelligent in a conventional manner but he does seem to be a deep thinker at times and is willing to learn.

I can remember one time that he fought,( can't remember the other fighters name) it was live on Sky and Piper did win the fight but it was harder work than expected, and Piper immediately got showered and dressed and joined the sky pundit team in the studio to continue with dialogue on the rest of the evenings card. How's that for dedication?.

I can clearly remember the other pundits jokingly giving him a bit of stick as the fight wasn't as easy for Piper as it should have been.

And Piper himself was laughing and joking and analysing/criticising himself as though it was a 3rd party!

    Fun times at Sky.

Who cares if you have a degree or a PhD, how many languages you can speak, if you're a banker, a mathematician, or are a member of Mensna if you can't punch through cobwebs or take a pop on the whiskers from an old lady?

They're boxers and boxers are generally dog stupid and the vast majority of them can't even fight for goodness sake

You don't get physicists and engineers praising each other for their punch resistance and punching power

What I find really impressive about Schmelling is his mental health and how old he lived despite some of the hard fights he was in.

Perhaps him running his Coca-Cola business in Germany helped keep him sharp.

Schmelling was a statistical outlier. An excellent fighter who lived long and coherent into his 90s

A mathematics degree is much more difficult than a doctorate in sports science.

There is no evidence for this. The claim seems to come from a sketchy IQ website which cites no sources, iq-test.net. The website also makes various other fake news articles, even claiming to know the IQ of Goethe, who died 70 years before IQ tests were invented.
