Is AJ v Wilder a megafight?

It's a decent co main but it's no mega fight.

Off course its mega fight. Even now when its little "past prime" fight.
Its not numer 1 in sport-way category but
I wouldn't be very surprised if ppl like more fight Wilder vs Joshua than fight Usyk vs Fury.

It's a fight we all want to see, surely? I certainly do.

Ruiz would definitely crumble his chin.

I dunno, it's just a bit dated. When was the last time either man actually beat a world ranked opponent?

It certainly wouldn't be worthy of a ppv on its own, probably not even headlining a card. But it would be fun to watch as a co main

Why? When was the last time they beat anyone of note?

One sec I'll find out now for you:

AJ beat Pulev in December 20
Wilder beat Ortiz in November 19

Both have a KO over a shot to bits Helenius since then as well.

How is that the form of two fighters in a main event?

It's not about form. It's a fight a lot of people want to see and arguably pay for. From a marketing perspective, it's a main event.

No one is gonna pay ppv for a fight between two men who haven't won a fight against ranked opposition in 3 years.

As a supporting act to Fury v Usyk it will be on a ppv, but on its own? No chance.

This two fight each other was dream fight for soo long that its no matter how long ago they beat someone good.
You got here 2 punchers, big guys, still ranked in top 5 (both) and they lost only to top 2 (Anthony got this accident loss to Ruiz but he fix it already)
This and fact that is now close fight near to 50-50 (different fans got different favorite) and we still talking about big names (Joshua still got twice many fans than others in division).

This is VERY BIG FIGHT. Even numbers mentioned in talking (50 millions for both) show that.

I know its was much bigger few years ago but its still good "dishes". Little colder but still.

It's a good fight, I've said that. It just isn't headline material.

But it is. I can only talk from my point of view but for me its probably the best fight in division. In several aspects its even better than Fury vs Usyk.

I dont see bigger fights than this 2 for now soo its speaks from itself.

And I see many fans got similar opinion.

Fury v Usyk is a bigger fight.
Fury v AJ is a bigger fight.
Usyk v Wilder is a bigger fight.

Like I said these guys are both a bit 2019. The division has moved on now.a 33 year old who hasn't beaten a ranked opponent in 3 years Vs a 37 year old who hasn't beaten a ranked opponent for 4 years.

At one time this was the fight to make, no doubt. But since then Ruiz, Usyk and Fury have ruined the party. Exactly why fights shouldn't be allowed to "marinate"
