What the fkin hell did happen with a legend of YouTube interviews Michael Hunter??? I know there was that "thriller" flop, but this is becoming ridiculous. Even Wallin and Jalolov will have better careers. I really don't understand. Whats next for this solid boxer WHO was dismantled by Usyk?
It's kind of strange that a fighter who was in the Top 10 just disappeared from the boxing scene, it seems that he no longer had the will or desire for anything, a real shame...
Well, it's not that Hunter has been totally inactive, just out of the spotlight. He's 5-0 in Team Combat League ever since he stopped competing at sanctionated boxing.
He kind of did it to himself. Had a public spat with Matchroom. Signed with Triller who were upsetting a few of the big American promoters. Refused a final eliminator with Hrgovic for the IBF He basically commited the same cardinal sin Audley Harrison did. Don't try to go it on your own, and be mindful of the hands that feed you. i.e. the established promoters It's a shame really, but no one made him sign up to fight bums on Triller
I think after the draw to povetkin, which I thought pov edged it and hunter got the benefit of the doubt, he and his handlers realized he wasn't going to legitimately top the hw division.
Of course Jalalov will have a better career. In other news water is wet. Wallin isn't going to have any better a career than Hunter though.
Not to mention his rematch with Jerry Forrest. He lost that fight, no questions. Hell, even the casual Triller commentators who were paid to gobble his gonads conceded that he must have been unwell or ill-prepared. After getting a lashing in the later rounds, he even vomited in the corner... This content is protected The fight highlights were never released to the public. I ended up uploading a video to YouTube and Twitter. Both were taken down by Triller on multiple occasions. They didn't want the footage seen but finally conceded earlier this year, thinking the dust had settled. When his next fight is announced, expect them to be pulled.
