I think fury will ( if he ever will ) face usyk only when he can be pretty sure to win the fight . Since usyk is surely not a bum - and fury knows it - it would mean fury needs to be in very good shape to be sure . And this would mean fury needs a long and hard training , loosing weight , endless hours in the gym tormenting himself , endless sparring sessions . He seems not interested in this anymore , not sure if money can motivate him enough . Honestly - if usyk feels fury is in perfect shape and chance of loosing for him is high , usyk suddenly would be the man who refuses . Thats how the game works
Cunningham has only ever been stopped by one man. Tyson Fury. Cunningham is tough by any standards. At the end of round 5 Fury started dancing because he felt Steve going weak from the constant pressure of having to deal with a big man, His coach cut his glove before the start of round 6 I believe to give Steve a 30 second breather. Fury then continued the assault, taking the last bit of life out of Steve with a solar plexus bodyshot then ripping him trying to hide behind a high guard on the ropes - A position that Usyk knows he can't get into, so he is forced to use his feet for 12 rounds solid even if he is tired or hurt. Fury didn't have his coach in his corner and didn't fight to a gameplan after getting dropped, went to war and Fury in war mode is not a man to be trifled with.
I can name the last 20 opponents of Usyk's amateur career off by heart...You should be scared. Funny thing is I can't do the same for his 21 pro fights. He's an impressive man I'll give him that but he ain't no heavyweight for one even though he's a big cruiser he ain't the man to beat Fury.
Mate, just stop it. You are not a fan. You are simply can't deny that Usyk is already HOFer and the greatest CW ever - and who knows what else he can achieve as a HW. Even you can't deny that but that doesn't make you a fan. I also recognise what a talent Fury is but that doesn't make him his fan either. But the most tiresome is this idiocy that you and a few of your fellow Furyettes keep pushing about what the excuse will be from Usyk fans if yada yada. While in reality, you, the Fury fans are the biggest excusers in the history of boxing. It is Fury who has gifts wins (McDermott, Wallin) that you keep explaining with excuses. It is Fury who has a long history of ducking others from Ustinov through Price and Joshua to Usyk and Joyce recently that you keep explaining with excuses. It is Fury who has a history of PED cheating that you keep explaining with excuses. It is Fury who has a history of cheating his way out to "win" a tough fight (Cunningham) that you keep explaining with excuses. It is Fury who keeps lying and gaslighting that you keep explaining with excuses and pretend you are proud and enjoy a pathological liar's behaviour. It is Fury who hates on gays, Jews, women and whatever publicly that you keep explaining with excuses ("oh, it was because of his men'al 'elf") It is Fury who has exhibition fights against non-fighters as a reigning champion instead of facing top boxers. Stop this "what will be the excuses of Usyk fans" because Usyk manages his career and carries himself inside and outside of the ring in such a way that his fans don't need to whitewash his things. Being a Fury fan, on the other hand, basically means that you need to keep coming up with excuses for his life and career choices 24/7 and pretend that you are okay with it. There's a reason I refer to you guys as cult members. You really are acting like ones. In your heart you and other devoted Furyettes do know that critics of Fury are right. Nobody believes that when you see a headline that "Boxing bontrovery: Tyson Fury's latest interview/chosen opponent stirred up things" or whatever don't make you go "not again, ffs, what is it this time". You act like you relish these constant controversies around Fury but no mentally healthy people would do. Nobody buys that you are truly and honestly proud and confident. Pretty much everyone knows that you just put on this overzealous bravado act. It's fine, I mean you do you but don't believe for a second that you can make anyone believe that these are your genuine feelings.
Fury is afraid, not uninterested. Nobody turns down an absolute career high 90 million USD pay day to become undisputed against an allegedly easy opponent "middleweight midget" only to fight for less than half that amount against someone who is allegedly "a much more dangerous" opponent. Also, Cunningham was knocked out following illegal moves by Fury (holding down opponent's arm, blocking opponent's eyes with forearm). In reality, it was a DQ loss for Fury - his third one next to the points loss to McDermott and the TKO loss to Wallin.
“I have no interest in fighting those guys (boxing contenders),” said Fury during an interview with Sky Sports Boxing. “I didn’t come back this time for belts, I came back to secure my family and I’ve done it.” Well, all well and good, but if he isn't going to fight the best, isn't it time to call him an ex-champ. Sulaiman, are you listening?
Mystifying, the whole thing regarding both Fury and Charlo, wrapped in cotton wool and treated like an endangered species! Just forget about them, Usyk and Adames are the champions!
Usyk has a right to go after his lifelong goal in the sport and that is becoming undisputed HW champion. Fury is being a chicken **** and getting in the way of that. And it’s absolutely not fair. If Tyson doesn’t agree to face Usyk within three or four months of this circus fight… They should strip him. Let’s get the show going.
