Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder: What is going on?

Said before the fights in Saudi are now pushed back to April. Current plan is to make it a super event across 2 weekends now whether that’s fury vs Usyk and ajwilder across 2 nights or whether they go boxing one night mma/wwe night 2 who knows.

Wembley is also provisionally booked for the summer for a super fight. I’m guessing that plan is either a fury Usyk rematch or fury vs aj which lets be honest sells out even if both have lost.

I’m still of the opinion this fight with ngannou is probably just a way to pay fury more money than Usyk as the a side without having to get into stupid negotiations.

We will see AJ fight someone late dec or early jan and then it will be all systems go.

 

Eddie is going through the motions of making this fight but there’s not a cat in hells chance that Joshua will fight Wilder.

Saudi Arabia need to hurry up and not waste Joshua’s time. He wants to be active so they better send the contract soon or they will miss out on another Joshua fight. Joshua is the most active top level heavyweight right now.

Abu Dhabi are very interested in staging a Joshua fight and will pay a huge sight fee to stage a fight involving the huge attraction Anthony Joshua.

Joshua is not short of options and won’t let his time be wasted by anyone.

Hearn has used the routine that Joshua will fight Wilder after his next fight for the past 7 years. Now he’s expecting people to believe that he might fight Fury in December after he couldn’t fight him last December because of his “sponsors”.
If only Hearn had a promotional company of his own that could make Wilder an offer.
