Ward is such a classless sleaze bag. And I knew something bad was about to happen right after I saw that little “Sup Bruh” fist bump and look Ward and the ref gave each other as andre entered the ring.

Also… look at Wards training footage and demeanor in the lead up up to the 2nd fight. Also the back acne. Come on… anyone can see what was going on there.

For sure. The decline was fairly obvious from the Chilemba fight and even Ward himself stated the same. I don't think it was so much age as lifestyle & motivation.

Kovalev understood the A-side shenanigans. He had to practically fight for free just to get Ward into the ring with him. He didn't even have a guaranteed purse for the rematch.

First fight he had lost a step but won. Convincingly. Taking Wards 0 would have been massive. Easy to see why he was bitter afterwards.

I thought he looked declined by the Chilemba fight. Athleticism and stamina went down very quickly. Boxing and booze don’t mix well.

What the hell is this post?

Kovalev won the 1st fight by a margin. There's no A side or B side. It was a robbery.

Second fight Kovalev was AHEAD but Kovy was different. He turned his back on Ward at one point...not sure if out of frustration or what but after Ward landed the big right hand (to the jaw) Kovy was on shaky legs. Then Tony Weekes (one of the worst refs ever) called a TKO off a series of low blows...shouldve been low blows and shouldve been a KD.

Kovalev was better than Ward. There's no A side or B side to that

To be fair, Weekes is always a horrible ref. Look at Maidana Mayweather 1 where Marcos had zero points deducted despite blatant lowblows, hitting while holding, tackled Floyd at 1 point, and literally tried fuc|<ing KNEE Floyd. Still no points deducted.

Look at Weekes in Rolly Barroso...where Weekes called the fight off and nearly every observer at home or in person were baffled.

    Weekes is CORRUPT and AWFUL.

I don't think he meant it that way, he was just speaking about the underlining corruption when playing to the headliners & their handlers, it's always there & the Europeans usually carry a very allowable attitude & even more by never bring these things up after the fact or during fight camp,

In Boxing having the most cut throat & conniving individuals is a major asset which they don't have coming in, just look at the passive Egis Klimas he defines what we are speaking about.

he had enough will that Ward was dominated and on the verge of tears until the corrupt judges read their scores.

He beat Ward in that first fight, but then experienced one of the worst robberies in years. After that he pickled himself. The man was a legend.

Lets be fair here my friend while youre watching Maidana bend & break the rules you were ignoring Floyds dirty tricks like the holding like a limpet, the elbow shivers that was his only dangerous offensive weapon actually His running & dancing refusing to fight. If I was fighting him Id have stopped turned to the ref & asked "Are you going to make this ballet dancer fight or not "? " If not lets make it a dancing contest " should have got a few laughs I'd bet
All those refs & judges have to abide by what they are told or they don't get the plum assignments any more that much seems obvioud

EXACTOMUNDO Ward knew he'd really lost that first fight The Ward & Weekes tag team pounding on Kovs testes in the rematch could well have neutered him Corruption rears its ugly head once more
