    It really doesn't

Shadow is using the bells and whistles atttached this fight to make it sound huge (belts)

It's a freak show of a fight and has some curiosity to it, I'll gladly admit that

However it really don't mean diddly in the grand scheme of things

You’re probably the only person on this planet that “believes” this. Further confirms you’re a Canelo bot. Canelo and Jermell are massive hype jobs

Well no, it's a guy fighting someone from two divisions lower. And that's someone who hasn't fought in over a year as well.

I'm trying to remember the last time I got excited about a SMW champion facing a LMW champion and I don't think I can recall a fight ever even happening.

Just a bit of a damp squib really.

You're missing the point. It's something that's never happened before. It's something you've never seen before, which is what makes it as big as it is. Not just a SMW facing a LMW, but the Undisputed SMW Champion facing the Undisputed LMW Champion. Not only is a great matchup stylistically, but it's a matchup of historic significance.

Hype jobs? They're Undisputed Champions. That's the complete antithesis of a hype job. Becoming Undisputed means you've beaten all the other Champions of a division, meaning you can't be a hype job at that point. You're the hypejob, literally. And this isn't a mismatch.

You're a freak show. It means everything. It's literally a fight that fans have been demanding for over 10 years. Now it's happening in the most epic and historically significant way possible.

There's nothing casual about this. Of course there's casual appeal, but this is really for hardcore boxing fans more than anything.

This isn't a Jake Paul circus, this is the legitimate Super Middleweight Undisputed crown on the line against the legitimate Junior Middleweight Undisputed Champion. It doesn't get bigger than this, and none of your party pooper detracting drivel is gonna change that.

I don't think its a big fight now, and certainly not 10 years ago.

Oh dear the point has completely passed by you.

The reason it's never been done is because it isn't a good thing. Fighters get criticised when someone climbs one division, let alone two in their first fight there without any time to get used to the weight.

Credit to Charlo for daring to be great, Canelo is in a big lose lose situation here.

It was big then and it's much bigger now. Now both are established legitimate Undisputed Champions in their respective weight classes. This is truly a dream match and if you can't see how big this is, that's your problem.

Both are daring to be great. Canelo is taking on the most accomplished and decorated fighter he could possibly fight at this point. He's also taking on arguably the biggest and most explosive puncher he can possibly fight, with natural size advantages over him, a guy with insane conditioning that doesn't tire or fatigue as the fight goes on. You unfortunately have no clue what's happening here, in this matchup, stylistically or otherwise. When you're as clueless about a subject as you are with this, it's best to leave the boxing discussion to those knowledgable and familiar with the subject matter.

Not seen the All Access but I'll probably watch the fight replay to see Charlo get KOd.

Lol no, the best possible boxer Canelo would fight right now would be the following order:

    Beterbiev
    Bivol
    Benavidez

Then after that it's tough because SMW is shallow right now and since Golovkin vacated his belts no one is standing out at MW, MW is so shallow that right now if Jermall or CEJ won a title fight they'd probably be ranked number 1 in the division.

If I was to go as low as Jermell I would have to rank challenge as this order:

    Beterbiev
    Bivol
    Benavidez
    Yarde
    Buatsi
    Munguia
    Jermell
