Theoretically Tszyu should be soft and overrated because he’s a rich kid….but in reality I think he’s hard as nails (upbringing and genetics) and will annihilate Mendoza. Anyway….I’m throwing my worthless imaginary prediction behind Tim now, and in future against anyone at 154. This all seems to stem from him wanting to make his own name and not exist solely in his father's shadow which is commendable for him. Makes him infinitely better than the myriad of pretender sons of legends who came before him.

First, how can you not like this fight? Two power punchers that like to throw bombs. Tim not taking pointless, weak, shitty fights like it's the trend in boxing while waiting for something big and milking the fans. Tim will have to stay tight on his defense while balancing offense and aggression in this one. This will further let us know what he's defense and chin are made of. I see him winning this though.

I have to say I've immediately become a fan of Brian Mendoza after hearing his class and the way he conducts himself during that face off with Tim Tszyu. Seems like a cool headed, grounded dude and similar to Tim in many aspects. Looking forward to this bout next month.

What do you guys think? I think Tim wins and at this stage I'm leaning towards a 12 round decision. But **** both of these boys have serious dynamite K.O Power in either hand. This is a very dangerous fight for Tim but I'm backing him.

 

Yeah, Mendoza seems like a stand up guy with serious chops and a good amount of courage.

But there's no way he beats Tszyu in a million years. Kudos to him for being willing to make the fight happen though.
