Wimpy met Buster Douglas, Tommy Morrison, Ray Mercer, Alex Stewart, Greg Page, Tony Tubbs, Pierre Coetzer, Herbie Hide, Jeremy Williams and of course, Wlad Klitschko. But then, the best fighter he beat was Marciano prototype (albeit bigger, faster and stronger) Bobby Crabtree.

    Thoughts?

What about Wimpy Halstead if he had fought Ricardo Lopez’s opposition?

I think he would have gone undefeated and to this day be recognized as the largest light flyweight champion in history.

He would be a mix of Larry Bird, Chris Mullin and Dirk Nowitzki.

A slower, much smaller Mike Alstott. Or maybe a much slower, smaller Brian Dawkins.

Of the listed Rocky Marciano would lose to: Tokyo Douglas (not every James Douglas), Ray Mercer (Lewis fight), Wlad, and if Tommy Morrison managed to box the same as against Foreman; he would also lose to him.

Morrison's game plan would've never worked in a million years against Marciano. Running the whole night, boxing from range, especially with someone who utterly lacks skill like Morrison is a recipe for disaster. He'd be better off, fighting his usual aggressive fight, and trying to nail Marciano with a left hook.

I always wonder what would have happened if Dixon fought an accomplished former amateur star like Antonio Tarver instead of some of those bums he fought.

I mean, his best ‘wni’ was an exhibition against a 60-year-old man and doesn’t even count on his record.

How would Marciano do if he was the main character in gladiator.
