Yes - You can only fight who is there for you. He has fought everyone through many weight classes and put basically everyone on their arse. So yeah, he's an ATG fighter for my money.
Talent wise he very well may be, and I'd give him good chances against some of the better fighters from 140-147 historically , but the resume isn't there to rank him as an all time great.
Not sure on the ATG as that is earned in different throughout ways but he is a very good fighter, lets see what he ends up doing going on.
Yup accomplishment wise he is Undisputed in 2 weight classes (Never been done before) Stopped porter & Spence in his last 2 fights (Who nobody has stopped before) & stopped every opponent for the last 11 fight streak. Those are impressive stats. Especially since the consensus of the board is that Roy Jones jr & GGG are ATGs (Their resumes are also considered pretty weak sauce overall)
No today they don't want to have to FIGHT!! They want to just be a cherry pickin' Diva with back up that wont let them lose like Canelo The so called KING oF Boxing ROFLMAO Dmitry made a clown out of him
His weight jumping sounds good on paper till you realize he was one of those lanky mofos that drained themselves as much as possible before finally moving to their true weight class, which for him is 147. He's dominated 147 so far though with some asterisks. For undeniable ATG status he needs to move up weight classes that he should not belong in and fight the big men. Fighting a 5'7 canelo isn't the same as campaigning at 168 and beating the likes of 6'1 benavidez.
One of the aspects I like about all time greats is that you can have an unlimited amount. If someone qualifies, they qualify. If not, then they don't. It's not like a top ten where, if you move someone in you have to move someone out. (Picking an NBA top ten is the hardest for that). I do think, based on accomplishments, Crawford is an all-time great. However, not every all-time great is going to be Ray Robinson, Ezzard Charles or Muhammad Ali. His resume is somewhat lacking so I would say he is a lower level all time great.
Well..... this is where context has to be taken into consideration. Based on names, you could make an argument but when you pick apart his resume, you will see that he has a lot of asterisks next to his name. Brook and Khan were past their best when he beat them. Porter was one foot away from retirement. Kava was competitive but a tier below other welterweights. Horn lost to Manny. And there is so many question marks with Spence to where an argument could be made that any top 5 WW (Thurman, Ennis, Virgil, Stanionis) would've beaten that Spence that night. Honestly, I don't know. I know many people don't consider Vernon an ATG but he did beat Ike and Mosley who are better than anyone Crawford has fought. So what does that tell you.
If Bud retired today he would be a Hall of famer and possibly an all time great. He past every test with flying colors from 135 to 147 lbs. He won a belt at 135lbs jumped up and unified 140lbs all 4 belts, then jumped up to 147lbs won 7 straight by title fights by ko before knocking out the top dog to unify all 4 belts. Leading up to this he Ko'd Kell Brook, then shawn Porter. All of his fights turn out the same way, the apponent gets dissected and taken apart. The haters like to knock his competition, i didn't see anything wrong with his competition. Now for sure nobody can say anything negative about his competition. He destroyed the other guy who has three of the four belts, who was ranked in top five pfp.
I thought the Spence fight was gonna seal either Bud or Errols fate as an atg? I mean you had the consensus top 2 guys fighting each other so the winner was going to be legit. Funny thing is Bud dominated so badly that people act like Spence is trash now or something.
Spence was not trash but any non-bias person can tell that something wasn't right with Spence when he arrived at the fight. Idk if it was weight or what but that was not the Spence we are accustomed of seeing.
