Hey, remember that time Canelo was supposed to fight Golovkin to unify, but instead he dragged up Khan to middleweight, then came into the ring as a super middleweight?
That was some unbelievable bravery from the mexican warrior!
Sure watching Khan KO'd cold was nice, but that would have to be one of the most cowardly cherry picks ever seen in the sport.

Yeah Mayweather had a poll on his website asking who he should fight Khan or Maidana. Maidana was winning the poll early on because he'd just beaten Broner. But then Khan reached out to his much larger social media following and begged them to vote on the poll and so he ended up winning being the fighter who had a bigger fan base.

There were two other polls at the time by Fightnews and ESPN and both those polls which Khan didn't beg fans to vote for had Maidana winning their polls. So in reality hardcore fight fans wanted Maidana while Khan fans skewed that on the official Mayweather.com poll.

Fact is Khan didn't deserve a shot, he was offered the Broner fight and didn't take it, instead not fighting and just expecting to be picked by Mayweather and doing nothing to support a case for him being next for Mayweather. Maidana in contrast took the Broner fight Khan declined and earned his shot at Mayweather. In the end Maidana was a much tougher style match up than Khan ever was for Mayweather.

Khan's speed would of given Mayweather a tricky round to two as he got his timing down but just like in the Garcia fight, once Mayweather timed him with a counter it would be all over and Khan again left unconscious on the canvas.

I never liked Floyd, at all. But when your legs are getting stiffened by jabs from a non-puncher like Prescott and 30 seconds later, you're getting KTFO, you have zero chance of beating Mayweather. Hell, Khan would make Mayweather look like Julian Jackson once Floyd landed a right hand on his chin.

Nah. Khan was too flawed. Floyd actually had the power to KO him too. It doesn't take a whole lot to flatten Khan.

Mayweather would have timed him and stopped him as so many others did. I will never understand the continual overrating of Khan.

Agreed. I've always said this. Even Floyd said once when asked why he doesn't fight Khan, 'its all about timing and the timing aint right'...Khan had a weak chin perhaps, but if you didn't ko him he'd box your head off.

Khan's athleticism would've given Floyd issues early on but Khan would've eventually gotten caught as he had horrible balance, terrible footwork, no defense to speak of and of course a glass chin.
