Was Wlad more boring than Fury as HW Champion?

Wlads tehnical dominance is far more impresive to true boxing fan than that brawl Fury had with Wilder, there is a reason Wlad is in ATGs and neither Fury nor Wilder will ever be.

 

Wlad had one good fight in his career. Against AJ.

All three Fury vs. Wilder fights were better than any Wlad fight.

 

Wlad is ATG fighter, Fury, Wilder and AJ will never be. Also 60+ fight, 20+ defences, more active that whole heavyweight today. He needed to grow old for Fury to beat him, on points, and refuse to rematch, and he remached 3 times with Wilder.

 

He could be extremely exciting when he dared to remind the world that he had the power akin to Wilder and Lewis. The amount of stinkers though.

If Vitali was willing and able (injuries) to be the main man of the division, boxing could have witnessed a tyrannical championship reign of granite chin and unconquerable will. Quality of opposition was sufficient (Povetkin, Chagaev, Pulev, Haye, Chisora, Ibragimov, Valuev etc) to provide at least entertaining defenses, and even aged he would probably baptise the rising Fury more than Wladimir did.

 

wlad was one of the most boring heavyweights of all time i would rather watch paint dry boxing was in a very dark place when wlad was champion thank god fury got rid of wlad and saved boxing…….

Wlad did fight often but he did not fight Lewis and there was no good reason for that.

That whole he could only fight who was available narrative is not true.

 

His style was quite boring but effective and made best use of his attributes.

 

As purely a fan, when I see weaponised questions like this, I say to myself what are you really asking?

Wlads fight with Joshua was on par with the third Fury vs Wilder contest.

 

I like watch Wład fight. He got few very good fight. Also he got tremendous power and always was interesting looking how other react to his punching power.
Off course he got very boring fight too. But same with Fury. He also got boring performance (for example Chisora 2 where refery must warn them they are actually fighting)
Fury also got better option. Wlad wait for big fight long time. Not his fault actually that they come to late.
He got only Haye in his absolute prime but David was better in talking than in actual fight

I never found Wlad fights that boring tbh. I think a part of that is because the power he had meant a fight could end at any moment.

On a side note it would've been nice had he incorporated a devastating hook to the body in his arsenal. It would've bent opponents in half that were shelling up from the dynamite 1 2.
