It is simply astonishing that there are still boxing fans on here who still believe that Anthony Joshua is an elite Heavyweight and Connor Benn is innocent while destined to become World Champion.

I consider myself a complete mug being sold a DAZN UK Annual Subscription in February this year for £99 believing Hearn when he told us that we would receive 'Unprecedented Value' only to find that the UK schedule has been absolute dross.

Never again will I give a penny to Matchroom or DAZN as they are simply cheats.

 

This might be slightly off topic but if the plan is for him to fight Eubank at 160 does this not involve a implicit acceptance by all parties who make the fight that Benn will be allowed to juice? He is a runt and the only way he gets up to 160 is with shed loads of gear or by coming in with an Ian Lewison style gut. A guy with Benn frame can't just put on the thick end of a stone with some dumbbells and a sandwich.

That is why there should be automatic procedures to follow when drug tests are failed which boxers should fully sign up and agree to when applying for a licence.

Whatever is in place is not working and needs to be beefed up so the rich drugs cheats cannot avoid pre-determined consequences of failing drug tests through litigation.

The process needs to be much quicker and transparent such as:

1. An automatic suspension for any pro boxer failing a drugs test.
2. There should be a hearing within 3 months of failed drugs test with all evidence of mitigation provided.
2. Within 1 month from that hearing, a decision is made upholding the test result or not with the ban period communicated to offender if applicable.

 

A better solution would be fail a drug test = banned for life. Forget all the excuses. There’s no smoke without fire.

A bit off topic but has anyone here read former Chavez Jr opponent Andy Lee's autobiography? There's an interesting passage in the run up to their fight about Chavez's drug test sample.
