Amir khan's style was tailor made to take floyd apart

Giving broner his first loss was huge back then It was upset of the year and he took his belt. Khan had no belt and was coming off a loss and a bad performance he wasn't more deserving than maidana was at that time. Pbf had a history of fighting guys coming off big wins and good performances and khan didn't fit the bill and that's why he didn't get the fight.

 

C'mon...He fought Judah off a loss. Doesn't suggest it was that important does it? I'm good with what came of Maidana. But fact of the matter is, he took a guy who got blanked by Alexander, and lost to Khan. Floyd should have just STFU about the poll and fighting the winner. That is what made him look foolish.

That fight was already signed before Zab fought baldo though that's why and pbf still fought baldo as well. I agree the poll was dumb because khans fans flooded it but at the end of the day Maidana was more deserving.

I can't see Khan beating Floyd he might even get stopped by him at some point as he would need to have a lot attributes that Khan just doesn't have especially to win clean rounds,

it would end up being a mixture of Mayweathers fights with Hatton/Ortiz all over again.

 

Khan never deserved the fight with Floyd, he spent most of his Career just sitting out calling the headliners out for big purses without every wanting to fight the top contenders for his shot, that sums up Khan's career.

Money trumps deserving in boxing. Besides, it wasn't me who said they'd fight the winner of the poll, that would be on Floyd.

That's true but Khan in general never deserved a shot at the top guys it would have been entertaining either way, Khan should have gone for a rematch with Garcia another one he never pursued, if Khan couldn't get passed that Danny then it's wrap in general.

 

I can't completely agree, but might have a point. Look at everyone who's gotten a title shot. Some are deserved, some are due to money. Today's (and the last decade+) boxing is more business then sport anymore. It's why were sort of in this mess today.

As for Khan v Garcia II, Khan did want a rematch. Not that Danny was obligated to give him one, but Khan did state he wanted to try for revenge. Garcia simply moved on with his own career.
