This content is protected Bro both of them comes so so much heavier. Joyce stills looks ripped though, az Zhang looks softer. Joyce is 281.2lbs. Zhang is 287.2lbs Just for a comparison in the first fight Joyce was - 255.7 lb. Zhang was - 271.6 lb. This is beyond ridiculous to be fair. Joyce somehow gained 25.5 pounds, which is 11.5kg. in just 5 months. And it's looks most of it is muscle. How the heck you are going to achieve that without HEAVY and i mean HEAVY PEDS? It's one thing to gain 25 pounds of weight, but another to do and you are still super ripped. Absolutely insane.
Just look at Zhang for comparison he gained 15.6 pounds, but he looks soft all over the place. And it's not like he wasn't training hard, and on top of that he hired a world class Strength and conditioning trainer, massagist, therapist, etc. for this fight. Absolutely pathetic from Queensberry, but we know that they are just not testing their fighters, and they are beyond dirty.
Sidenote: Should be the second heaviest fight of all time, i dont know but i guess: Zhang at 287 lbs vs Joyce at 281 lbs = 568 lbs in totality. The record should be Valuev at 322 lbs vs and McCline at 268 lbs = 590 lbs.
It goes without saying that 20+lbs of muscle in 5 months at age 37 is only achievable with PEDs. Does it help either man though? Joyce will want to take Zhang deep so will Zhang weighing more exacerbate his already suspect gas tank? Joyce couldn't get out of the way of Zhangs punches last time, surely weighing more = heavier feet and even less mobility? Zhang looks soft it must be said and I think the increase in weight bodes better for Joyce on the whole.
He is even 38. And he looks as ripped as 5 months ago, if not even more ripped. This is ABSOLUTELY impossible. Absolutely ZERO chance to happen naturally. To be completely fair you will struggle super hard to gain a functional mass at this age, no matter if you are a PRO or not. And forget to gain 25 pounds of literally pure muscle into your body. ZERO, and i mean ZERO chance in that. His physique looks wise, and obviously what we see in terms of weight gain is screaming PEDS. I have absolutely no doubts that he is on the sweet Juice. I have always like Joyce, as he is very likeable person, but that is pathetic. Not that we didn't expect that he needs all the "help" in the world to overcome the beating Zhang gave him, but that is some heavy, heavy stuffs to get so big so fast.
When you see them side-by-side, its obvious Zhang is the bigger man. His bone structure etc is bigger in totality. Joyce was always used to be the bigger guy and his physis was the key. He doesnt have that against Zhang. Boxing skills of both should be similar, their Amateur credintials are almost identical, now almost similar weight and similar height. This could become an epic or let s say at least DAMN good fight. :-D
Joyce dis look a bit soft though and tubby, he wasnt as ripped as usual. That’s a lot of man in the ring 570 ish pounds. Big guys.
Joyce weighed 256 last time out and didn't look any quicker/mobile than he did against Parker where he weighed 271. He'll always be there to be hit, so might as well come in bigger and more powerful. Never gonna be an elusive guy anyway.
Joyce looks muscular still but clearly softer carrying more fat than usual. Not sure what the point of that is since his slowness was a big problem. Basically cancels out Zhang's gain. They are saying he needed to come in heavier according to the commentary. Why? Because he lost when he came in lighter? That makes no sense since nothing about that fight says he lost due coming in lighter. Anyway, two mountains.
IMO horrible idea from Joyce... He was slower in first fight where he come in good shape. Now he for sure will be even slower... He will be take thoose shoots one by one. Dont know how it can help him... Punching harder? Bot punching power its from dinamic. Same mistake Wilder made in 3 fight with Fury where he had FAT, slower Fury...
I feel like being that much bigger is gonna end up biting Joe in the ass. Zhang is a bit heavier than I thought he'd be though so that could pose a problem for him. Still standing by my prediction, Zhang KO 5-7.
Not sure why people are saying Joe should come in lighter. Regardless of weight, he's never gonna be a quick or elusive guy. He'll always get hit a lot, might as well come in big. He'll be more durable, stronger and will punch harder this time around. Zhang getting knocked out in the 10th.
