Pissed that Tyson didn't destroy LL whom was fearful at the start (who wasn't), but he began showing confidence, bottle & skill... what happened to Mike, who should have given him a memorable beating. Later I too began to recognize LL was in fact a True Champion.

unlike that 'other' Tyson who is 3rd & 2cd Rate, who every time you watch him you are 'shocked' at how poor He, and the Division really is!!!

Meh, old guy who’s been out forever taking a fight on relatively short notice with no tune-up … not so shocking to me.

Larry beating Ray Mercer was mildly shocking. Holmes easily beating Mercer while toying with him and carrying on a conversation with the corner camera … that was jaw-dropping.

    Hi Buddy.
On the scale of fights, and after all the good picks preceding mine, it does not like that earth shattering, maybe it was the timing, I and a few friends had been out for the night at the local disco ( age giveaway ) jiving to such never to be forgotten hits like " Tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree " while me and Billy were grooving, all of a sudden 2 stunners came up and danced along side, one was a brunette and the other a blonde perfect ! Billy had a penchant for blondes, and yours truly leant towards brunettes, tickety boo, after a couple of minutes of dancing, and I use the term loosely, we asked the girls would they like a snowball or babycham, yes please they giggled, I shot a look at Billy not too dissimilar to the look Clyde shot to Bonnie prior to being gunned down in the car, we had very little money, read none ! so we went back to our friends and told them of our predicament, leaving the girls to decide who they fancied, luckily one of the gang was flush, and upped us the princely sum of £5, more than enough for two drinks.
The evening went well, we chatted and danced some more, got to know the girls a bit more, then about 4 babychams later it was time to go, the club was closing, " where do you live asked the blonde " as it happens we were a long way from home, so we told them we haven't any money left to get a cab, after lavishing all our disposable on you two beauties, " well, you can stay at ours if you don't mind" funnily enough we didn't mind, so back to the small little flat of the brunette, for a cup of coffee, and a look at her stamp collection, after a blissful nights sleep, we arose about 6-30. dressed, left the girls ( still sleeping ) and got a train home, after leaving the train station, i was a tad thirsty, so I thought I might as well pop into my local sweet shop and buy a bottled water, as I rounded the corner the billboard outside, had on it in large letters
    " Ali upset by Norton " ............
    stay safe guys

Roy Jones 2004 fall from grace. I felt Tarver could have won their first fight and gave him a shot in the return but couldn’t foresee a second round KO. Likewise the Johnson fight, just never expected to see Jones handled like that, specially within about a year as being recognized as the best in the sport by quite some distance.

Briggs "winning" the decision against Foreman. I realize Foreman had been given what could be considered a bit of a gift against Schulz, but this was outrageous imo.

Same with the the decision given Spinks in the second Holmes fight. He didn't win that fight.

Marquez vs Pacquaio the 4th fight i know Pacquiao got stopped a few times early in his career, but i never expected to see Marquez flatten Pacquiao like that it was scary.

Williams getting stopped by Martinez was another shocking moment for me.

It’s impressive on its surface but the Larry who fought Tyson IMO wasn’t the same as the one who fought Evander, McCall, etc. He needed more than a three- or four-week training camp to get back into fighting shape and sharpen his reflexes, not to mention fighting regularly on his real ‘second career comeback.’

Taking nothing away from Tyson but the result didn’t shock me, nor does it now in retrospect.

As a musician jamming with a new group the evening of 6/1/19, I'd gotten home drunk to watch my recording of the Joshua fight, saw the first knockdown (of Ruiz) which is how I (and we all) expected the fight to go and I guess i passed out a little, then when I woke to see Joshua falling all over the canvas I thought I was either dreaming or Joshua was kidding around after he'd already KO'ed the tubby Mexican. I had to wake up the next day to realize what I saw through the haze was indeed...real.

I'll add another mention for Williams KO by sexy Sergio, JMM > Pac4, Povetkin's KO of Whyte, and honestly this past weekend's ZZ KO of JJ shocked me too even though it was sort of the result I expected.

What about Briggs stoppage of Lyakovich?

    That shocked me.
