2012 Olympic Gold versus 2008 Olympic Silver. Bring it on. Zhang qualifies as an AJ opponent b/c he's past 40. As for the fight itself, Zhang goes 'bang' & AJ goes 'dang'.
If you watch Zhang in his Olympic days, he was a bit wild. He leaves himself open and that's how he got caught a few times in the amateurs. Zhang is more economical now. He's more patient, more defensively responsible and more precise. It looks like he's gotten more powerful too. Zhang is full of confidence, while AJ is afraid of getting hit. Zhang would stop AJ today.
Zhang, but Joshua with enough grit to get up from the canvas could potentially get on his bike and potshot to a decision. That is if he doesn't mentally checks out after a big bang. Tough to tell with AJ nowadays. Was hit by Helenius with shots he shouldn't have.
Eddie Hearnz is going to be out here in a couple months selling us a Frazer Clark fight and telling us he's a bigger threat than Zhang.
Prime Joshua who beat Klischko would beat Zhang. The guy hasn’t been the same since, which is why Usyks wins over him mean very little to me and are overrated. Zhang flattens him now.
Emperor Zang walks the puny bodybuilder down, and gives him a good hiding in the corner, until he spits his gum shield out and quits.
I don’t think this. Zhang has a dreadful gas tank. But given the caution AJ fights with I have a hard time seeing him staying upright over 6-7 rounds
AJ by UD or SD. Clumsy AJ would dance circles around dangerous slow Zhang. AJ would play that game carefully against Zhang. I don't expect TKO or KO.
AJ has the tools to beat him, and I'm not sold on Zhangs chin just yet. Joshua won't stand in front of Zhang like that mummy Joyce did so he might have to fight at a faster pace which I doubt he can do. He appeared to gas against Hrgovic. If AJ boxes well he can beat him and if he catches him on the end of his right hand he could drop him especially after 7 or 8 rounds. I think where Joshua is concerned his confidence is a major factor, if he feels comfortable against Zhang and controls the distance ,pace and exchanges he might stop him late or take a solid UD. But where AJ is vulnerable is by a good punch that could alter his mental outlook.
AJ would be scared to death to engage with Zhang, and if he wasn't, he would be as soon as the first solid punch lands. He goes right back to panic mode and self-destructs. Zhang KO 6
