That's true. I really liked the changes this year although I could live without the pizza box bases. I also think that since the game is much quicker they ought to wait until the 12th inning before they use the automatic runner.

The attendance for my Giants was also down but overall, baseball has shown life.

Serves everyone right. This is what boxing deserves after years of mismatches, careful matchmaking, aging fighters out, fixed fights and very very few prime vs prime fights. If you can’t make boxing a sport and not a pantomime/circus, bury it

If you look back at boxing’s history you will find few prime Vs prime fights:

-Wilder Vs Fury (Wilder chose a coked up fat **** Fury)
-Klitschko vs Fury/AJ (old ass Wlad who was a chinny cheat in the first place)
-Tyson vs Holmes (old ass Holmes coming off a lay off)
-Lewis vs Tyson (both old af, Tyson clearly the one more affected by the age)
-Lewis vs Holyfield (old ass Holyfield)
-Canelo vs Golovkin (top dogs only started fighting GGG when noticing signs of aging)

List goes on..really frustrating because without alll this bull**** boxing would be amazing

Boxing is an absolute clown shoe of a sport these days so I'm not surprised.

You reap what you sow, really.

Yep, and alphabet soup title fights among 2nd and 3rd tier fighters coupled with blatantly horrible and corrupt decisions have turned a lot of people off. As my wife told me one night, "Why do you bother scoring it? You know they'll rob the guy. ,,,and she was right.

Thanks for the info, Someone needs to study marketing , you'd think one or more of those looney alphabet soup organizations would speak with Showtime , ESPN, or even HBO and work out a schedule where they'll provide quality fights to the networks between solid fighters at least twice a month. This would get the fighters names out there and stir interest. Have major cards at least 3 times a year inside a division, wouldn't it be grand to have say Usyk defend his belts and on the undercard there's guys like Jarred Anderson, Makhmudov, Gassiev, Ruiz, Zhang heck even Ortiz! Not necessarily fighting each other though that'd be great but just on the card.

This is in large part on Maywearher’s obsession with remaining undefeated and not taking 50-50 fights when he was the top dog.

Very sad if this ends up becoming true, but also not surprising. HBO and Showtime were THE big boxing events and to have both of them out of the picture will be a huge blow.

When it burns to the ground it’ll allow for a real business model and unified banner for fighters to fight under.

No 1 man has that kind of power but that is part of Floyd's legacy to the sport

He taught future Boxers that protecting the 0 & avoiding risks due to a potential loss is the way to go & you can even use the 0 to proclaim yourself TBE to your moronic fans

It is not just me speaking but others like Haney have come out & said it:

Devin during the podcast said “We could change the whole dynamic of boxing and make it like the UFC – those guys fight each other, lose, fight again in maybe even bigger fights after a loss.

Floyd made boxing bigger, but he kind of messed up the game with the undefeated record so guys don’t wanna fight each other, they just wanna keep the 0.”

This didn't start with Floyd but he exacerbated it

Good luck to Dana trying to pay Boxers low purses to fight guys they rather wait out & avoid, we've been hearing about Zuffa boxing for years yet nothing happened, heard wwf also wants to get involved in Boxing that would be the icing on the cake just make it all fake then.

Sounds good & more importantly way more affordable even for the causal viewer.
