Either nostalgic or knowledgeable- there have been huge heavyweights that couldn't break an egg, and 220-ish guys (think Mike Tyson), who could take guys out in 1 shot. Size is far from the only thing that determines power.

Jameel McCLine should have a 90% KO percentage according to these size queens

Too much deluded people here. Ali was a cruiser who averaged 208.75 lbs during his best years 66-67. What does cruisers weigh on fight night nowadays? I would say more.

However they think that a good chin for cruiser equal a great chin for modern super heavy weight. I see a difference between 250+lbs and 200... That is for both chin and power.

You know the equation/formula for power is: mass + speed

Tyson has the speed to equal everything up.

Big puncher but hes not Shavers level yet, and probably never will be.
But he has a great straight left that's going to be trouble for anyone in the division right now.

Tyson scored 24 first round knockouts how many has Zhang had ? Zhang doesn't even have 24 stoppages.

    Tyson scored 44 stoppages.

Tyson had 10 stoppages against top 10 ranked opponents compared to 1 for Zhang.

Tyson stopped two ATG's in Holmes, Spinks, who both had over 100 wins combined and were only ever stopped by Tyson.

Do people do any research at all ? Or just like spouting random nonsense based on flavour of the month mentality ?

And as I said before you're the same guy that thinks Hughie Fury is a better version of Muhammad Ali, which pretty much means you're a dunce or a troll and not worth taking seriously.

Here's the quote BTW for anyone that wants a good laugh.

"Hughie Fury is a modern and bigger and better version of Ali. I would bet on him any day over Ali in a boring UD."

Zhang's lack of stamina makes him seem like a weaker puncher than he is. He throws a low volume of punches and most of them are not loaded up at all to preserve his stamina. Imagine if he had the cardio to throw multiple fast power shots each round.

Zhang, based on the eye test.

Shavers has the big, eye-catching moments against ATGs though.

    Nobody cares what you think.

    You’re an idiot.

Usyk has just beaten AJ TWICE, where he currently has THREE of the four main belts.

And those facts absolutely DESTROY any theory you have about Ali not being able to hang with a modern day SHW.

    Usyk - Comparisons with Ali:

    Former CW.

    Limited HW power.

    SAME height.

    SAME reach.

    SAME weight.

Now you have no proof that the modern HW’s hit harder than the older ones.

We’d only know for sure by scientific testing.

We know that weight alone isn’t enough. Because we can see on the eye test that guys like Wilder and Foreman are/were great punchers, and bigger punchers than guys who had more than 30-50 pounds of weight on them.

Also, it goes without saying, that any of those guys would have needed to have landed flush on Ali, in order to have stopped him.

We’ve just seen Usyk hurt by Dubois. I don’t think that Dubois hits any harder than AJ. It’s just that AJ never got the opportunity to land any of his power punches.

So considering that Ali was extremely tough, where he was pounded by Frazier, Foreman and Shavers etc, and where he had a number of unique gifts, there’s absolutely no logical reason why he couldn’t have found success today. And especially seeing as though NONE of today’s HW’s are truly GREAT.
