Could the bodybuilder get a win here? I'm picking Rocky. Joshua is going to struggle to keep the distance and Rocky is going to grind him down and once Joshua gets hurt, his lack of heart will start coming into effect.

This is the classic forum so Rocky gets dropped once or twice and then comes back to knock Joshua out cold with one punch. Rocky still has claim to being the only man who can be a small cruiserweight while having a sub 70 inch reach and knock out much bigger heavyweights and Joshua's trainers are incapable of training him on how to outjab and out strength a man that he would have 7 inches of height, potentially 50 pounds in weight and and 15 inches of reach on.
This is like asking if Julio Cesar Chavez would beat Adonis Stevenson. Except for some posters size suddenly doesnt mean sh*t above 180lbs. Theyd never pick a great lightweight against a good LHW but theyd pick their favorite old school fighter to beat decent guys outweighing them by 60lbs
If Joshua is even remotely in shape and trying to win, he beats Rocky 10 times out of 10 separate occasions. They are virtually 4-5 weight classes apart, and Rocky has probably the worst possible style to try and beat a guy Joshua's size. If Joshua was some feather fisted defensive fighter or a speedy technician, maybe he could pull something off. Problem isn't just the size, it's also the fact Joshua is a very heavy hitter with a strong jab, powerful uppercut, and would impose his huge size on Rocky on the front foot. Only an idiotic trainer would agree to this fight when their boxer is a short, tiny, aggressive swarmer who can only fight offensively on the front foot. Complete suicide. It's a ram trying to clash heads with a buffalo. If Rocky's lucky he's stopped on his feet early without taking a savage beating or being knocked unconscious. Hard to even imagine Rocky winning by puncher's chance anymore than you can imagine Golovkin beating Joe Louis with a puncher's chance.
Marciano gets dismantled hes 5'10 185 pounds with 67 inch reach vs 6'5 240+ pounds 82 inch reach Joshua. It's a Cruiserweight vs a Super Heavyweight it's a mismatch. I've been defending Muhammad Ali recently against people claiming Zhang would beat him which is nonsense IMO. But difference is Ali was 6'3 and between 215-220 pounds in the 70s so hes alot more equipped to deal with more modern Heavyweights, plus like Usyk hes a boxer who's fast and uses movement. Marciano on the other hand is a come forward slugger which is a disaster against much bigger stronger fighters who hit alot harder. Marciano was competing against Light Heavyweights not Super Heavyweights different times he can't compete with his attributes.
Andy Ruiz now that he is in fair shape was not much bigger than Marciano, I would like to see a rematch if Andy stays in shape
not much bigger? The lowest career weight I can find for Ruiz is 246lbs that's 60lbs more than Marciano customarily weighed.
a lot of people just can't get past the Weight, but the Height & Reach IS the difference here... you are right McVey, but just for point you should also ask him... Would it make him (Marciano), a SUPER Heavyweight. and of course the answer to all 3 Questions is no, No, NO. but sadly there will be more & more Giant verse Normal Sized HW's threads till kingdom comes, because too many people just think of them all as HW's, when the truth is the Giants need to have their Own Height/Weight Division, which is SUPER-Heavyweight!
Andy appears to be getting in better shape from recent pictures, not sure if it helps him or hurts him but it's obvious, he was overweight in Johua 1 and even fatter, slower and lethargic in fight 2 I am curious to see what condition Andy can get into and how it affects his stamina issues. Joshua is listed as 6'6 but he looked at least 6 inches over Andy. Fighters today need to prepare for 12 rounds, I would like to see them bring back 15 and I would think the top-level guys would have to be super conditioned, and it would be a game changer.
