I'm very objective, it's not hard to look skilled when you're in a division full of skill less bums. So merely being competent easily becomes next level to the less discerning.

What percentage chance are people giving for a Charlo win? 10-15?

He has fast hands, good footwork, sharp counters, puts punches together well and throws everything with perfect technique. Of course he needs to fight better opponents to get a true assessment of his level but the skills are clearly there.

Like I said... he's competent. But nothing I've seen tells me he's anything close to next level.

I give him much less chance than the books tho late money on Canelo is pushing the number closer to where it should be.

    Sanchez looked like ****.

It's becoming a trend at that point --- him coming out with that awkward, front foot high guard (Reynoso?), getting mediocre results against mediocre opposition, and then more or less switching to what always worked for him, that is the patient Cuban counterpunching, with a tad more offense perhaps. In the Negron fight he could actually flow into it, setting Carlos on fire and finishing him with a beautiful combination. Here?

Sluggish, artificial, unimaginative. His career is looking very gloom, except for the fact that he might actually get a fight against someone noteworthy, presenting himself vulnerable like that.

I hope they really go back to the drawing board, let him do whaat he does best and what he comes naturally to him, and just take dangerous fighters, probably European, simply forcing the ranking. Then again, he might simply be doomed to being another aging Cuban.

Looked alright to me. The 78-74 scorecards are a fairly accurate representation of how the fight went. Think Leatherwood had a few good moments but nothing that really put Gausha in imminent danger.

I barely paid attention to it, mainly watching it out of the corner of my eye. But from what I saw, @NullaLexInk was pretty much on point.

Sanchez is becoming extremely inconsistent and, if I may call it that, out of touch with what created the hype around him in the first place. He is my favorite fighter of this era of heavyweights and I'll stick with him untill he hangs them, but it's simply not a good look. Honestly, I don't like Reynoso's work with him. He actually looked much better when Goosen was temporarily in his corner, because Sanchez didn't get a word of English, and simply adjusted and triumphed on his own with some degree of style.
