I would give Wallin a good chance he had Gassiev in the Matrix

    Don't be ridiculous.

Beating a faded version of a guy who was a good cruiser but never proved **** at heavy doesn't suddenly make Wallin a contender.

Joshua's not as aggressive as he was, but he still has one of the best resumes in the division and even now I'd back him to beat the likes of Wallin comfortably.

Wallin is most certainly a contender. But he proved that a long time ago. Gave Fury the fight of his life, schooled Breazeale, blatantly ducked by Shyte and now he's beaten the only once defeated Gassiev who still has plenty of time to come again. Last night further solidified Wallins status as a dark horse contender at HW who should be getting more opportunities.

It would be a really dull fight. Joshua is better but Wallin is durable , awkward and doesn't commit. Joshua boring UD.

A win against Gassiev who is unproven as a heavyweight isn't too big, Wallin has only 14 knockout wins in 26 fights which proves that he is quite weak for his height and weight. Joshua is simply better...

If we still had 15 rounders I'd give Wallin a chance as he does keep going at the same rhythm and could tire out Joshua late. Very one dimensional fighter though.

Wallin would be a bigger test for AJ than Jermaine Franklin Jr, and Robert Helenius.
Pre Ruiz AJ I would favor, post Ruiz AJ I'm not so sure. If it wasn't peak Wallin against Fury, but peak Wallin would be seen in a future fight with AJ - then IMO anything is possible.

Wallin has fought Fury and sparred Zhang 10 times he most certainly belongs in the same ring as the body builder

    Well put.

Wallins power must also be very underrated, although he's not a KO-artist by any means. Otherwise I don't understand why no one just walks through his pitty patting and just knocks him out. His one dimensional power less boxing must be harder to handle than what it seems.

You don't need 15 rounds to tire AJ out, though.

Awful fight. Most boring FOTY candidate. Wallin could definitely win.

There is a good chance that we would see Wallin v Joshua before we ever see Wilder v Joshua,Wallin I think its a fight that Hearn would readily agree to in a heartbeat. I would have favoured Joshua comfortably but after his recent performances it could well be a win for Wallin in a boring match up .

I never rated Gassiev as a HW so Wallin slapping him around didn't really impress me much. I think Wallin can be a decent fringe contender but I don't see anything particularly special in him. He made a lot of mistakes that more capable opponents would've capitalized on.

Fury's cut has healed up nicely and he hasn't been cut since then . Fury has improved since the Wallin fight but Usyk is better then Wallin
