The best version of Max Baer and his killer right hand vs the best version of the Norton. Does Norton win by KO?

Baer’s power against Norton’s chin is a big threat. But I think Ken’s vastly superior skill should win this as long as he doesn’t get caught in a barrage that he can’t get out of

Max Baer beat Carnera and Schmeling who were superior boxers

Baer could not land his telegraphed swings on Norton if Ken had one arm tied behind his back................a whitewash boxing lesson.

Carnera is a no hoper and Schmeling fought like a idiot walking right into Baer over and over again..................Norton beats those two any day of the week.

Baer does not have the aggression or brute force of Foreman or even a Cooney, he will get clowned by Norton.

Foreman is levels and levels above caveman Baer................................Baer had to be forcefully pushed out of the dressing room vs nice guy Louis...................he would have a full panic attack facing prime Foreman or Tyson, open as a barndoor Baer who is not even big by todays standard would be blitzed hard and quick.

Regardless of who you admire more as a fighter, Baer is all wrong for Norton.

You literally couldn't pick a worse stylistic match for him.

We keep an open mind of course, but let's face it, this is not going to be the one time that Norton breaks the trend of a career.

He is going to lose to the puncher again.

I am sorry if the idea of Baer beating Norton offends some people, but that it most likely what would happen, and most likely what would happen in a rematch.

    I do not think so

But film does not lie, Baer looks terrible on film and I do not care much about press reports (Hillary in a landslide), yeah he could punch but so do 90% of Heavyweights, the problem is that unless he got the perfect opponent he could not line up his money shot and lost to club fighters in his prime......

Example, Alex Stewart and Jorge Louis Gonzales had, going by memory, close to 90-95% KO percentage until they ran into Holyfield/Tyson and Bowe and got wasted, both punched really hard but had a poor delivery system, hell, Gonzales had a great amateur career beating both Lewis and Bowe.

There are levels to this game and I am convinced that Norton would box Baer's ears off, if the journeyman Braddock can do it so can Norton.

If Norton uses his superior jab he could take a UD. But he's walking a tight rope here.
