Everything about Alvarez is overrated .. I'm not saying he's not a great fighter but people make out hes the second coming.. look at the stats... he has one knockout at MW and that was against Khan.. & 4 stoppages out of 8 at SMW... & even then most of those aren't even SMWs themselves.. his power isn't anything special at all he's just a good counter puncher and excellent at cutting the ring off .. he has enough to keep them honest & his ring presence is top notch too but overall he's not a notable puncher

Kirkland was chinny.. he got knocked out in 1 round by Ishida (put down 3 times in fact) who has 11 knockouts in 40 fights.. so that's an awful example

Doesn't that make him seem more impressive? Going up in weight and actually stopping more larger competition. People will often say a smaller fighter loses power when moving up. Also you left out his KO of Kovalev at LHW.

    On a scale I give him a 7.5-8.

4 stoppages in his last 8 fights at 168/175 is not special, it’s average

Before the PEDs he wasn't a devastating puncher even at 147 and was full grown and highly experienced by then.

His power is now big if not huge at 160-168.

Nobody ever bashed up Saunders/Callum Smith/Ryder/Plant/Kovalev like this. It's completely abnormal and ridiculous for his natural size. Also, nobody ever made Golovkin as cautious as he was in the second and third fight particularly, which suggests dangerous power at that weight.

    Canelo is a chemical warehouse.

Id say 7.5 is probably the right number.

    Yes

There's different types of power but also things like technique, speed, accuracy, timing, volume, and quality of opposition factor in.

Beterbiev isn't a one punch KO artist but in terms of brute force and weight behind his shots he's probably the hardest puncher in the sport P4P. He's got decent speed but no one would ever describe him as fast.

And he can generate brutal power from very short distances. He's not only stopped everyone he's fought but he's dropped them all too and 8 of his last 9 opponents had never been legitimately stopped before either. A few of them were stopped on cuts or injuries.

Also, he's not trying to time you with one big shot his style is more about bludgeoning you into defeat. His power is thumping and heavy, like getting smashed around you noggin with a big log

The Dosser might be the biggest one punch KO artist in the sport but he throws his shots from a different time zone and the quality of his opposition is really poor as is their skill level. But he obviously has crazy power and he's giving away weight a lot of the time. His power is more snappy, like a whip cracking.

Inoue has great balance, accuracy, technique, speed, and timing but there's also a lot of raw power in his shots too. Like Beterbiev, his shots sound really heavy.

Beterbiev is Russian Rocky, Wilder is a HW Tommy Hearns, and Inoue is a midget lesbian anime Joe Louis.
