I think that's a fair point that OP makes. On the other hand, no trainer on earth is going to make Joyce faster, and his lack of speed is what allowed Zhang to exploit the gaps. Zhang is just a horrible matchup for Joyce based on his physical characteristics. What I'm saying is, that even if Joyce was trying to slip and weave, I think that Zhang's speed edge would see him land anyway.

Comeback Foreman had pretty good defense for the most part, despite being even slower than Joyce. Not sure lack of speed is his issue. Yeah, he's not going to be able to slip punches like '67 Ali, but he can certainly block them with something other than his face.

I think the champ is right here -- Joyce needs a better team, better training.
