Hard to believe there is a real possibility the Ring Magazine p4p #5 boxer in the world and 2022 Fighter of the Year might finish up 2023 without having competed once. For that not to be the case, something would have to be pulled together in a hurry for sometime in Q4.

He was injured, and then planned to face the winner of Artur Beterbiev vs. Callum Smith, which itself got postponed. Garbage luck. (on top of which he's going through a seemingly messy divorce with his beautiful missus, Ekaterina)

Still a beast, though.

What, because he isn't a KO artist?

I disagree, you can be a "beast" at something without needing to be a literal violent intimidating force like Beterbiev. It's just part of the common parlance now, "he's a beast at chess", "they're a beast at Call of Duty", whatever. Just means skillful. Which he is - unless you think a nickname citing him as supremely skillful is unbefitting?

He's a beast at outboxing opponents.

 

I got a little freaked out when snooping on the now single (and smoking hot) Ekaterina Bivol. Lots of articles have them listed as having dated for 16 years, but with her age being "25" and DOB as 10/1/1997. That of course would mean that Dmitry started a sexual relationship with an eleven year old while he was 16-17.

Thankfully not the case, it turns out. Ekaterina's real DOB is October first of 1990. She in fact is two months older than her ex-husband. They actually met on a flight in their early-mid teens but started hooking up when both were 16yo, perfectly copacetic.

Whew! That would have been rough to have to yeet myself off the DB Express with no parachute.

Unclear btw the cause of the divorce; there has been rampant speculation that either party cheated but nothing that isn't just busybody internet chatter. (she's getting tons of hate though on her Instagram, with droves of angry fans telling her in Russian to change her surname to stop "milking his fame")

Incredibly well put together for a 32 year old mom of two. My gosh.

Well turns out it's **** this guy. Turns out Bivol beat his wife (or rather, ex-wife pending their ongoing divorce) in front of their kids and threatened them not to tell the police anything...and now she has full custody of them.


If and when it happens, war Beterbiev! I've switched Beast teams.
