I don't think Floyd beats this Canelo Nearly as easily. These Canelo's are so different.

Floyd only gets beat in hypothetical’s . When Canelo was 23 years old an 8 year veteran and undefeated unified world champion Floyd kicked his ass. The current version of Canelo has slowed down so Floyd would beat him easier especially a peak Floyd. The Floyd who beat Canelo was over the hill at 36 years old so imagine what peak Floyd would do to him.

 

Canelo has proven himself since then by beating GGG something Floyd never could have done.

 

Tbh it would be easy work for Floyd and I’m a huge fan of Canelo. He just loads up on his punches and his opponents haven’t been good enough to make him pay for it. Floyd would make him pay each time he loaded up. The style that gives Floyd trouble is unorthodox volume punching with dirty inside fighting. But even then Floyd was old when he struggled against Maidana.

I think Canelo has changed significantly. He has this come forward aggressive style throwing huge punches. If he fights that way, it's a question of whether he can break down Floyd's body. He's not landing a lot of headshots loading up like that. And even to the body most will be avoided or blocked. He has shown he can break down opponents by beating their bodies up. So maybe even blocked punches could wear down Floyd. Anyway at 154 Floyd is still favored.

 

He looks like the same guy to me and you have not presented anything tangible to state otherwise.

It's stupid to use Canelo's accomplishments at a higher weight against Floyd when Floyd started at 130. Very, very stupid.
